End It – A Darker RimWorld Choice

Life on the Rim is brutal. Sometimes, the struggles, the despair, and the suffering become too much. "End It" adds a grim but immersive option for your colonists—when armed, they can make the ultimate decision.
Features:

🔹 Right-Click Option – If a colonist is holding a weapon, you can right-click them and choose to End It for them, letting them take their own life.
🔹 Weapon-Specific Sounds – The final act comes with the chilling sound of the weapon used, whether it's a gunshot or a blade slicing.
🔹 Blood Effects – A realistic blood splatter appears where the pawn falls, spreading in a random direction.
🔹 Custom Death Message – Each death is logged with a unique message: "[Pawn Name] has decided to end it with [Weapon]."
🔹 Mood-Based Autonomy – Pawns with a weapon can now end it if they hit extreme break. The chance of this happening can be controlled in the mods settings.
🔹 Toggleable options to suit your play style :
🔹 Can toggle on and off the Right click "end it" option
🔹 Can now toggle on and off mood based events. If the pawns mood goes to extreme break then they will end it themselves ( if they have a weapon )
🔹 Percentage Chance – The extreme breakdown "End it"chance now properly calculates and applies based on user settings. 100% will guarantee that the pawn will end it as where a low value of 10% carries a lower risk.
🔹 Added confirmation box before you end a pawns life.
🔹 Hestiation Period
🔹 Custom Injury - Your pawn can survive instead of dying makign it a failed "end it " attempt
🔹 Custom Recovery time after a failed attempt

Updates 22/3/25️
✅ - Grenades - Added grenades in the End It Function. Will most likely kill the pawn since you are literally pulling a pin on an explosive
✅ - Molotovs - Added Molotovs so that player will smash it on their feet, pawns may live, get set on fire or die
✅ - Language Keys - Ferny asked for language keys , so ive changed all strings to keys for the mod. Logging for debugging isnt included
✅ - Blood Splatter - Gun shots have a unique pattern in a line after the pawn ends it. Grenades have a more radial blood trail.
✅ - Updated Ban list - Added EMP Grenades , Emp Launcher to the disallowed list so pawns cannot end it with these weapons.


Updates 20/3/25️

✅ - Reworded mod options. - Not keys, Sorry ferny. Thats another job i need to do.
✅ - Extreme break risk - A pawn who hits extreme break risk will then have a default chance of 10% of them actually following through with ending it - Higher the % the more likely they will end it
✅ - Enable Failure Chance - A pawn can now be downed instead of being killed but having severe injuries. - The higher the % the more likely they will not die.
✅ - Enable Hestiation Period - If Extreme break risk is Enabled then the pawn can hesitate for the defined amount of seconds before doing the next step. E.g If the hestiation period is set to 10 seconds then the pawn will wait 10 seconds before making his mind up. The outcome might be nothing, however, the pawn might end it.
✅ - Custom Injury - Pawns will have extreme injuries from a failed attempt. You must act quickly or they will die. The sheer force of a weapon still carries a high risk. Bandage them up and let them rest
✅ - Custom Recovery - If a pawn manages to come through the injuries, they will need to be fed as they wont be able to move. They will spend a few days in bed before being able to resume duties.
⚠️ - Hesitation Period only applies to Extreme Break and not when forcing the pawn to End It via the right click option.
⚠️ - New menu options are disabled by default for the first time so the updates dont cause a masacre.

🔧 - Items removed - Items such as a bow , mace or melee weapons wont have the "end it " option other than a knives.
Rocket launchers, grenades, Molotov have been removed for now until i can figure out the explosion parameters and add fire etc.

Compatibility:
✅ Works with most mods. No known conflicts.
✅ Should work in existing saves.

❌ Does not trigger any Ideology-related funeral mechanics.
