Description
This asset is RICO only!

Hello Folks,

I'm back from my half-a-year-hiatus, back with some more new stuff. I also have some other projects near completion, so my next upload hopefully should'nt be that far away.

Today's upload is a pack of 20 2 to 8-floor office blocks with mostly beige facades and colormapped windows.
New with this asset is my use of AI-generated imagery, used for the fake interior of the windows (let me know what you think of it!).
I'm also considering a upload with some of these buildings as abandoned versions, also let me know if I should create this.

These office buildings have pretty much only been built in the later half of the 80s, some of them even finished after the reunifictaion of Germany.
The facade of the buildings is non-structural, inside is a seperate set of pillars and floor-panels which holds the structure.
This structure is highly customizeable, with different floor heights, pillar distances and window layouts all in one building.
Part of this can be seen in this asset as well, if you look closely, some buildings have a taller ground floor than the rest of the floors.

These sort of constructions would be called "Skelettbau". The seperated facade, hanging in front of the main structure is called "Vorhangfassade".
These facade panels would either be made from light materials such as glass and metal (Leichte Fassade) or heavy materials such as reinforced concrete (Schwere Fassade).
When using the reinforced concrete panels, these panels could either be around half of the floor height, with window strips inbetween or floor height (Geschosshoch), with windows inside the panels.
This is the case for these buildings, abbreviated as "SFGH" (Schwere Fassade Geschosshoch).

The 20 included buildings have been named by a system I hope is at least somewhat understandable.
"DDR" sorts them to my other assets from former East Germany.
"VGB" stands for "Vereinheitlichter Geschossbau" or "unified multi-story construction".
"SFGH" specifies the facade to be of floor height, and made of heavy materials.
"#G" indicates the number of floors per building.
The "No.#" stands for the general appearance of the building.

The 20 blocks can be found under their names, starting with "DDR VGB-SFGH" or alternatively by searching for "Plattenbau".
The outer ring of each window is color-mapped, defaulting to white.

When placing the blocks, Move It might be required.
The buildings can only be used with the RICO mod. They are level 1 to 3 office buildings with 48 to 384 workspaces each.
If used without the RICO mod, all buildings stay functionless unique buildings.

The main texture files are shared, so using the Loading Screen Mod to tremendiously cut down on file size is advised!

Just commenting on this asset to say (not sure why I picked this one but) this entire pack is AMAZING and in my opinion the “cité de Frances” prefabs/platten-type buildings had previously been the definitive pack of these buildings before I had found this collection… I’m not trying to put one down to bring the other up because both building sets are amazing, but man, I really, REALLY love how groups of these buildings look in my city, and I love all the subtle variety of the buildings as well. It’s perfectly monotone while varying just enough
ein Kommzurück, welches Freude bereitet.

These look awesome! Can't wait to use them for office parks in my designated brutalist district

Yeah, AmiPolizeiFunk did a good job with ther Berlin Wall... but the fences on the border been different, also his GuardTower is just the smaller one (Squere) and not the larger one (Pillar and Octogon top)

And it is teadious to search all of the Workshop.. lazy ass me wanted an easy to downlaond asset pack :D

I'm no expert on the Berlin wall either, just Plattenbau mostly. So I'm not exactly sure what is missing for a convincing Berlin wall build. There's assets for the guard towers, there's the wall, there's tons of different fences and I'm pretty sure there's tank traps out in the workshop.
I'm not opposed to the project, but I'm unsure if I there's stuff to model which I'm good at, I'm definitely no good with networks or human models.

The sperranlagen would be great to have more compleat. I say lets make a great comission together if you are interested MeisterMonis. And the Berlin wall parts have more things that we still need in game. But I'm no expert on it and therefore would like to let someone who knows it better, do it.
LordOmar2 21 Mar @ 3:06am
What would it cost to commison you to create a full set (probs and buidlings) of the "Sperranlagen" along the former border between the GDR and German Federation?

(Not just the berlin wall.. there is already a semi-good prob moddel for thoese :D)
