Mudborne is a big game! I don't expect there'll be some complete player guides for a while, so I've just compiled a few things based on common stuff I've seen so far that might help you. Most of this is directly taught to you in the game, but it's nice to have it all in one place.

Your guidebook will take you through the basics of learning the game, and beyond!
You can open it with "G" ("DPAD UP" on Gamepads).

If you get lost, you can check your map at any time with "M" ("DPAD DOWN" on Gamepads)

If you get stuck somewhere, or just don't fancy walking, you can hold "R" to respawn to the last bed you slept in, or the last pool you used. ("L+R" on Gamepads)

Eating bugs makes you run faster!

You can ribbit with the spacebar. It will attract nearby wild frogs. Right into your net >:)

You can change the color of your frog later with a special machine!

Sitting on seats and chairs will speed up time. This will also speed up any active machines, spawners, feeders, etc. You can get some early on inside the Reception building.

Use cultivators!!! Cultivators will always give you much better spore+bloom rates than waiting for natural spawns, and give you more mushrooms when harvested.

Natural mushroom spawns have fixed positions, so unless you know where one is, you'll always be better off using cultivators!

You don't need to carry the books on you to use them!

Things you place in one world won't exist in the other. There might be something later in the game to help with that...

You can hold "R" to respawn to the last bed you slept in, or the last pool you used. ("L+R" on Gamepads). Yes I listed it twice lol

You can pet your pet frog!!!

When you get to the later environment modifying machines, mushrooms won't spawn near them magically! You will need to use your cultivators.

If you don't seem to have all modifications you need for a pool, get some more mushrooms! Dream mushrooms and their special modifications will help you a lot.

If you want more hints for pool solutions, you can turn on extra hints in "Settings > Accessibility". This will show you all the mushrooms you need for a pool, but not how to use them.

A lot of pools can be unlocked without hybrids...

If you can't get somewhere, try the opposite world! Opening new pools will unlock new paths.

Gateways will let you get around the world quickly. There is an empty house in the gateway region you might find useful for a base!

There are lots of secrets to explore! You don't need to, but if you do, you will be rewarded...
