Turns out, this game lets you fast travel by bus. Basicly it's a teleporter. Some routes are expensive, but they can save you some time. You can carry legal items in your backpack.

Although I'd dicorage you taking anything illigal on bus - there are stationary police posts near alomst every bus station. Even if get on a bus undetected, you'll get fined right after you get to the next station
