Achievement Info
There are only 27 achievements in the base PC version of the game (Grounded is included) + 13 achievements for the No Return DLC. Unlocking them will be easy, especially if you have already played on the PlayStation before. If this is your first time playing this game, then here are some general tips for unlocking all the possible achievements in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered.

Complete The Last of Us II Main Story
You can get three achievements for completing the game: one for simply finishing the game, one for completing it on Grounded difficulty, and one for completing it with Permadeath enabled. It might be best to split this into two playthroughs, as trying to complete everything in one go can be quite a challenge.

Find all Collectibles
Almost all achievements in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered are unlocked by finding collectibles during your play. It makes sense to start collecting them from the first playthrough, and after completing the story, go through the places where you missed something via Chapter Select or NG+.

Chapter Select
Even if you missed any of the collectibles needed for the achievement, don't worry about it. Fortunately, I can`t say that this game has any missable achievements cause you can use Chapter Select feature after beating the game. But keep in mind that when playing a chapter through Chapter Select, you will be locked out of any chapters after that. This can be resolved by loading your Autosave Backup, which will return you to the furthest point. You can also make a manual save at your furthest point before chapter selecting to make sure.

Turn on Collectible Tracking
In the main menu go to Options — HUD — Collectible Tracking. When enabled this shows a special icon when a collectible has been already picked up in a previous playthrough. Very useful option when you do not remember which one collectible you missed.

I Know What I am Talking About
I have an achievement and collectibles guides for the original The Last of Us™ Part I game here on Steam. If you missed the first game for some reason, then do not forget to use them in order to complete the game on 100%. This guide will be very similar, so do not forget to come here from time to time for useful information.

Beware of spoilers
Despite the fact that the original game has been around for many years, due to its exclusivity, many players still do not know the game's plot or story twists. This guide may contain some spoilers, so if you don't want to spoil your experience of the game, it's best to come back here after playing the game. Otherwise, I refuse to accept all claims about the presence of spoilers.

🔦 What I Had to Do

The story is divided to 11 chapters, each of them has its own sub-chapters, half the game is based on Ellie's story and the other half on Abby's, so both of them will be controlled by the player.

To unlock this achievement you just have to beat the game with out any other conditions.

The following is a list of the eleven chapters that must be completed:
  • Jackson
  • Seattle Day 1 (Ellie as Playable Character)
  • Seattle Day 2 (Ellie as Playable Character)
  • Seattle Day 3 (Ellie as Playable Character)
  • The Park
  • Seattle Day 1 (Abby as Playable Character)
  • Seattle Day 2 (Abby as Playable Character)
  • Seattle Day 3 (Abby as Playable Character)
  • The Farm
  • Santa Barbara
  • Epilogue
🔦 Dig Two Graves

Grounded is the hardest difficulty in the game.

The distinctive features of this mode are lack of HUD, limited supplies, smarter and tougher enemies to fight. Possibly best way here is being stealth and avoiding enemies as much as possible. As I mentioned above you can try to unlock this and You Can't Stop This achievement in one playthrough, but this can be rather hard. Select the difficulty Grounded and set the Permadeath to Per Chapter to earn both achievement as quickly as possible.

🔦 You Can't Stop This

The Permadeath difficulty voids any progress and forces you to start a new game every time you die. Hopefuly you have an option to choose where to restart if you die:

Whole Game reset means, if you die, then you have to replay from the very start of the game.
Per Act reset means you will start back on the beginning of the act.
Per Chapter means you will start back at the beginning of the chapter.

The achievement can be unlocked by finishing the game with any of these options, so choose it wisely to make the gaming experience within your capabilities.

Luckily the game takes your difficulty into account and therefore gives hints regarding the Permadeath mode. In particular, if you press Esc, you will see when you hit the last checkpoint so you can understand how far you will be thrown back if you die. Also, during dangerous situations you can still see a warning that leaving the game will be considered as death, so it is recommended to follow these hints and take breaks only when the hints indicate this.

🔦 Apprentice / Survival Expert

There are a total of 10 skill branches, each of them is containing 5 upgrades, that must be unlocked one by one which means that you have to unlock total of 50 upgrades in order to unlock Survival Expert achievement. Character upgrades can be unlocked by gathering supplements in the open world (when you try to pick them up a pill icon will appear). Keep in mind that one playthrough isn't enough to get all upgrades, so starting NG+ is required in order to get all the skills.

🔦 True Strength

In order to unlock this one, you must achieve an S rank in an encounter. An S rank is a score of 450 points or better. You score depends on several factors such as accuracy, taken damage, time taken to finish the encounter and etc.

I do believe that it is possible to unlock naturally during you play in No Return Mode, but if not, then I just can give you some tips about how to raise your score: take no dagame from enemies, make headshots or kill enemies as fast as you can with any other way, do everything quickly, dont waste time.

🔦 May Your Survival Be Long / May Your Death Be Swift

First let's figure out what The Daily run is? It's an online run with random conditions which players have to complete for reaching global score. Each Daily Run can be attempted once per day and every player plays the same encounter runs as the other player. To unlock these Daily Runs you have to beat at least 9 other runs. Successfully finishing your first Daily Runs grants you May Your Survival Be Long achievement.

The other one is much harder, cause here you have to complete it on Grounded Difficulty. I do believe that unlocking this is just a matter of time as long as you naturally play No Return, but yet I can give you some tips, which can help you reach you goal without additional troubles.

Do not rush
Playing on Grounded is a bad place to make haste. Play slowly and carefully, try to avoid unnecessary risks, kill enemies fast and silent or evade any contect if you are not sure, that this worth it. Remebmer that your goal is to reach the finish and take as much time as you need.

Set Invisible While Prone to unlimited.
This legal trick can make your life much easier since you have and option to avoid any danger until you prone and not aiming someone. As long as enemies literally doesn't step on you, they won't know you're here. Make sure to have this and other helpful Combat Accessibility settings enabled in Options Menu.

Ok I figured them out, the 5 added achievements are This make you all nostalgic/Biology Lesson/Queen firefly + the two "difficulty" achievements (grounded). Completing the story on grounded will be the main difference and most annoying part.

Beginning of the guide is already confusing. I am trying to understand what achievements are different between console and PC. You write 27 + 13 achievements, yet the total is 44...Also the console version from powerpyx has 26 for the base game (not 27) and didn't check which one is the different one.
