Before attempting this, make sure you have:

- Fortress Connected installed
- HL2 Episode 2 mounted
- Played at least 6 hours as Civilian (the game needs to "mark you")
- Access to map fc_dustreal_b3.bsp (not included, find it in the cursed files section on the Discord)

- Go to fc_2fort_real_unfinished.bsp
- Get 66 kills as Pyro, but ONLY melee kills with the fire axe
- On kill 66, a strange noise will play (sounds like G-Man gargling)
- A single briefcase will spawn under the spawn room stairs — it flickers in and out of reality
- Do NOT pick it up. Instead, crouch in front of it and type bind "F" "freak" in console

- Load fc_lockzone_skyhole.bsp
- Jump into the pipe behind RED spawn (looks normal... it is NOT)
- You will enter a glitched dev-textured void
- Navigate by walking toward the whispers (yes, wear headphones)
- Eventually you’ll see a distorted model of John Freeman T-posing in midair
- Shoot him with the Nailgun while holding the banana (bind banana to mouse4)

- A message will appear: “JOHN FREAKMAN SLEEPS NO LONGER”
- Exit the game and go to your Fortress Connected folder
- Inside cfg/, create a new file named johnfreak.cfg

- Save and restart the game
- Upon launching, you’ll hear a slowed-down Soldier scream
- Go to the class select screen. If done correctly, the 11th slot will appear as a ??

Select ??

You are now John Freakman, a corrupted anti-Freeman with twisted powers

Abilities:
- Dual-punching (left click = punch, right click = also punch)
- 3 jumps, but each jump makes the screen more corrupted
- FreakVision™: Everything turns grayscale, teammates scream when you pass
- Health regenerates when standing still in darkness
- Alt-fire: Shouts “BLOOD IS FUEL” and causes nearby enemies to combust if under 50 HP

- John Freakman cannot cap points. He can only unsettle them.
- If you kill 666 players as Freakman, he becomes “Freakman Ascended” and glows red constantly
- Do not taunt while playing as Freakman. Sometimes it crashes the game. Other times... it crashes you.
