I’ve made it easy to enjoy this classic game on modern systems. I combined all the important fixes into one setup:

Widescreen support (Unofficial Patch)

Controller support fix (Xidi, for Xbox controllers)

Corrupt Cinematic Crash fix (after the first boss fight cutscene) Exclusive to steam version, not happens on GOG version

Normally, the widescreen patch and controller fix don’t work together because they both use a file called dinput8.dll. There’s no clear guide on how to rename or configure them to work together.

I’ve also included a ready-made Xidi config file. Without this, the Prince would just keep walking on modern Xbox controllers due to high analogue sticks saturation

With my setup, everything is pre-configured. No need to mess around with files or settings, just download the file from the link, extract the zip folder and within that folder copy everything and paste it in the directory where Prince of Persia Warrior Within is installed and play. Do note by default the game is set to run at 1920 x 1080 resolution, if you want to change it just open pop2.ini file and change the resolution to whatever you desire. Enjoy and none of these patches has been made by me, i just combined them for people having difficulties making them work together
