Description
This is a mod I made for Halo: Custom Edition a few years ago, now fully remade in the current build for Halo MCC! All of the visual bugs are fixed (except chapter titles and some objective text for some reason) and the enemies have been rebalanced to offer a better experience compared to the previous build.

This mod features a fresh perspective on the difficulty of Halo CE. Enemies are more ferocious and have new ranks that will require new strategies to take down. Spec Ops units with active camo, more challenging combatants, reinforced enemy loadouts, and more aggressive AI will test your mettle. For anyone looking for a more difficult run of CE without changes to the sandbox or weapons, look no further.

This mod is meant to be challenging. It will increase the difficulty of the game using the same scaling method as Bungie. It is challenging, but fair, and every level is possible to complete with the right strategies, both in solo and co-op.

--CHANGES--
General: Enemies have +30% to burst recovery, rate of fire, and health. Enemies are aware of your footsteps, which means stealth is significantly more difficult if there is not another entity distracting your target.

Player: Unlimited flashlight. Player has pink armor because pink is a great color :)

Covenant Ranks (Descending): Commander/Major: Gold > Support Gunner: Green > Spec Ops: Black > Minor: White

Grunts: Needler Grunt Majors have active camo. Majors will rush enemies more aggressively and cower 80% less. Minors are unchanged with these stats. Majors wield Plasma Rifles. Some Grunts have been promoted to support gunners. Support Gunner Grunts wield Fuel Rod Cannons and have more health than Spec Ops.

Jackals: Majors wield Plasma Rifles and prefer long range. Rank colors are anonymized.

Elites: Some Elites are now Spec Ops rank. Some Stealth Elites now prefer swords over Plasma Rifles. Some Elite Majors have been given swords. Some Elites in later missions have additional promotions.

Hunters: Rate of fire and accuracy has been buffed. Headshot zone replaced with a damage multiplier, so they should be slightly more difficult to deal with instead of being a pushover.

Flood: Increased health, except Rocket Flood. Rocket Flood have reduced spawns. Flood wielding automatic weapons no longer use burst fire. Specific Elite Flood forms have a very small chance to spawn with active camo on "The Maw".

Sentinels: No changes were made. They have received a damage buff from difficulty scaling due to how the sentinel beam weapon works.



The scaling used for this mod is consistent with Bungie's difficulty multipliers. The selected difficulty is equal to one higher than the chosen option +30% stats to enemy AI.

The fuel rod guns will explode regardless of who is carrying them :)

Yeah and then Halo took another 50 but the rest of the game was only like 30 minutes

Lighting should be fixed, all missions have been remade on the current build of MCC and no longer use maps from Custom Edition.
