Description
Who's the Richest Survivor in Knox

Unlocks a few recipes & adds a load more, all allowing you to enrich yourself with Cash, Silver, Gold & Gems
  • Deconstruct Jewellery into tiny fragments for later smelting, saving any Gem stones
  • Unlocks the Ingot mold recipe
  • Combine like items into stacks & then stacks into larger collections & on & on
  • New loot distribution locations for gold, silver, cash & gems
  • You might even be able to bash a zomb over the head with an ingot or two

Nothing in this mod is locked or gate kept behind any profession or recipe magazines etc BUT to cast the ingots you'd need the required vanilla steps, like pottery to press the clay mold then a kiln to fire said mold followed by a furnace to cast the ingot.
All of the Combination type of recipes also have the opposite recipe to break the item down to its smaller item.
This also includes the pallets of ingots BUT to prevent conflicts this does not include the vanilla pallet of gold or any additional pallets added by map mods.

All the recipes are located in the crafting menu in a new tab called Extra Money

Cash

You can stack 10 Money bundles into a pile & 10 piles into a briefcase of cash & 10 briefcases into a Pallet of Cash.

Gems

There are Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires & Pearls. These are removed from Jewellery or possible found in the vanilla rare Gem bag items.
You can combine them into a pile of 10, 10 piles into a bag & 10 bags into a briefcase of Gems.

Metals

A new item called Tiny Gold/Silver fragments has been added so you don't lose the metal when you remove any precious gems.
Once you get enough metal to start making ingots you can stack 3 ingots to save weight, then stack 3 of those to make a stack of 9. Add 5 of those together to make a pallet of Gold/Silver.

But why?

I dunno, for bragging rights I guess. Maybe when MP hits it'll have a lot more purpose.
Its mostly made because I wanted to have something to aim for & a pallet of gold takes a lot of work.
For the math orientated users out there, one pallet of gold or silver equates to the following;

  • 45 Ingots
  • 360 Small Bars
  • 1440 Sheets
  • 14400 Small Scrap
  • 288000 Jewellery items

So not something you're going to accomplish in the early game.
To help reduce the grind, all the items have been added to the loot distribution tables, in the obvious places; banks, jewellery stores, floor stashes, police evidence lockers, pawn stores, maybe some other Easter egg locations.

Save game safe, B42 single player only (at the moment).

@흉내쟁이 good catch! Update pushed to remove the recipes from this mod now that the vanilla ones were made public

The crafting recipe for the Press Ingot Mold conflicts with the vanilla version, causing it to require twice the amount of materials.

@Brooke Yomotsu Although not in the scope of *this* mod, all the base items; gems, gold, silver etc are all vanilla objects so there's nothing stopping anyone making a mod that can craft those & I'm pretty sure the blacksmithing skill tree will eventually allow players to craft jewellery (half those recipes are in the code already)

I'd love if you could make your own jewellery, or maybe make weapons/tools from the gems and gold

Sorry to double comment but remembered something else after leaving my previous comment, that "Earrings - Emerald" is missing from the recipe "RemovePreciousStonesFromEarrings", the dangly version of them is present but the regular version is missing! Amethyst/Amber jewelry not being removable I chalked up to not wanting to add those items/stones in general to the mod, but I figured I would comment that regular emerald earrings were missing since the dangly version is present (along with the rest of emerald jewelry)
also forgot to comment previously, but thank you for all of your hard work! ♥

Would it be possible to add the silver and gold trophies to the "scrap silver/gold object" recipes? The bronze would be nice too but I know that's not the focus of the mod where the gold and silver are, I'd love to saw/melt down all of these trophies I keep finding and hoarding to add to my growing collection of silver and gold! :espresso:

if you could make one for b41 without any of the money part it would go to the moon like hotcakes........
or you could make everything jewellery a submod and the cash integration another submod
