Description
BACKGROUND - RYABYSHEV PUSHES BACK

This campaign is loosely based off the Battle of Brody that occured from June 23, 1941 to June 30, 1941, during the chaotic opening stages of Operation Barbarossa. In the afternoon of June 26th, the 7th Rifle Division with support from the 34th Tank Division launch a hastily planned counter attack to recapture the northern outskirts of Brody. Anticipating an assault, the 79th Panzergrenadier Regiment and the 2nd Panzer Regiment have begun to dig in.

I personally recommend playing on the default AI numbers, as this mission uses a number of custom scripts (that work online as well.)

Each mission in this campaign keeps me coming back again and again! So many different factors come together to make the gameplay *pop* on both sides. Attacking provides real challenges for the player - one usually can't be in the open for too long before catching lead. The map is beautifully crafted with serious understanding of the game mechanics. Objectives are designed with cover placed strategically, and in enough density to allow AI squads to take position without stomping over eachother.

The scripting is very subtle but does noticeably add some degree of motion to the engagement. AI squads that maneuver well tend to take minimal casualties and continue to survive well into engagements - this is something almost completely unheard of within ER2, AI is just supposed to die and get replaced.

If anyone is new to the game and wants to get into mission making: play this campaign, then play it over and over again!:thestar:

- Scripts should run better on this mission now. I reverted what I was trying to implement. Too performance heavy.

- Fixed some of the Soviets carrying the wrong Mosin (sorry guys not sure how the sniper variant snuck in there)
