General Tips
  • Unless you’re a bullet-hell expert, fighting the GUARD 1 boss without rockets is difficult, so unlock the usable items for rockets prior, ideally before the Level 5 fight.
  • The size and health upgrades are early red herrings, and it is generally better to prioritize damage and more quickly destroy the shooting blocks due to the heavy damage scaling of the boss fights.
  • The post-collection resource upgrade is another red herring, and it is better to spend the resources on other things that can improve damage.
  • At the very start of each purple level, the shooting laser blocks are very briefly susceptible to unnatural damage and can be more easily destroyed; but it may be easier to just find a pattern to avoid the lasers.

Best Levels for Farming Resources
As a rule, the level before each guard is farmable with the correct technique. The guards themselves are also farmable after getting damage and health upgrades from the next stage, although it is generally more efficient to simply continue advancing.

Rockets are OP, and can be used to farm many levels for resources quickly.
  • Level 5 – use one rocket immediately at the start to create a opening to the core and use another rocket to destroy core when available
  • Level 7 – after getting one “improved bullet core : damage +5” upgrade, it is possible to launch two rockets straight up, while firing bullets, immediately at the start of the level to destroy the boss, with just enough time to dodge the incoming charge. After getting more blue health upgrades and adding invincibility time, dodging the charge is not required.
  • Level 8 – after maxing bullet damage, bullet bounce, reload and clip, it is possible to apply the same technique as the level 7 boss
  • Level 10 – sidestep first charge and immediate shoot off one of side wings. Lure boss to either the lower left or lower right of arena depending on which wing was destroyed so majority of boss is still within the arena after second charge, then destroy the core with rockets.
  • Level 13 – with some shield and health upgrades, can fly into one of the shield circles and blast away with three rockets
