Overview
Hey hi howdy hello! Today I will be teaching you how to get all 21 achievements in Threefold Recital.

Most of these achievements are pretty chill and easy to get, with some even being unmissable. However, some achievements must be found hiding in nooks and crannies, while others require you to perform well in minigames. Regardless, all of them are included in this guide.

Well then, let’s begin.

Obligatory mild spoiler warning.
#1. Brace Yourself
Complete the prologue.

We’re off to a pretty chill start. There aren’t any achievements hidden in the prologue, so don’t worry. Just play the game normally and reach the end of the prologue.
#2. Cut the Rope
Conquer every each karma severance challenge with no more than 3 retries.

Even though this isn’t an achievement you get until the very end of the game, I’m going to tell you about it right now, because Triratna’s karma severance challenges are scattered all throughout the game, and if you mess up on any of them and are not aware of this achievement until much later, it could result in backtracking, which I want to protect you from.

Think and act carefully about your approach with each karma severance challenge, and always avoid the red ropes. Don’t fail more than three times on each of them, and you’ll get the achievement upon completing the final one near the very end of the game. In the event you do require more than 3 retries, returning to the story portion prior to the karma challenge and then repeating the challenge should still count towards the achievement.
#3. Well, That’s…
Find out the To brothers’ secret game rules.

In Chapter 1, once you get outside and are in the backyard, over near the right side of the area is a pile of wooden skittles pins. (They also look a little bit like thick baseball bats.) Examine it and Tomato will be like “No, don’t look!” and you’ll get a new side quest to examine the baseball bats. Examine it again, and again, and again, until Tomato finally relents and Triratna finally has a look. The side quest is marked as completed, and the achievement is yours.
#4. Wad of Bills
Open the drawer of secrets.

Inside the rockery in the To’s manor backyard, get that key that’s hanging high up the wall by either winning the pong minigame, or by doing a little bit of trolling on the system and jumping up the pong bricks like platforms. Once you’ve obtained the key, return to the shed in the bottom right corner of the backyard area. Open the drawer inside with the key, and examine the contents inside. Once Triratna finishes reading the papers, you will win the achievement.
#5. Karma is a Breeze
Finish Triratna’s chapter.

Yes, this was a pretty short chapter, I know. But don’t be fooled, because in fact, it’s the shortest one, and all the other chapters are about 3x as long as this one. …At least for me they were. I’m probably slow. It took me 30 hours to beat this game.

But in any case, you’ve completed Chapter 1! Congratulations!

If you missed any of the previous two achievements, don’t worry. You’ll be able to come back to this chapter later. …Once you beat the entire game first.
#6. Chatterbox
Call every single number in the contact book.

If you’ve gotten to this point, that means you’ve made it to wholesome best boi Taiqing’s chapter, yay!!

While still in Taiqing’s apartment, hop on top of the bookshelf where you’ll find the phonebook represented as a shiny green object. Examine it once to hear the conversation between Taiqing and Wai Fai, then examine it again to see all six phone numbers. At this point, you’ll probably either write these numbers down, screenshot them, take a pic of them with your phone, or just memorize them.

Now, head over to the telephone (or as this game’s world-building calls it, the teller fon.) Call all six numbers for some humorous interactions! You can call them in any order, so don’t worry about the story progressing on you once you call Naite. Once you’ve called the sixth and final number, the achievement is yours.
#7. Gourmet
Analyze all pills you found.

Throughout Taiqing’s chapter, you will obtain four pills, with the last one being the longevity pills. Run them all through the pill analysis machine in the bedroom.
#8. Tinkers Tinker
Finish Taiqing’s chapter.

This achievement is pretty sad, because it means we have to say goodbye to best boi Taiqing. ...For a little while, anyway.
Seriously though, the ending of Taiqing’s chapter actually broke my heart. :,)
#9. Plumber Tradition
Bump that box with your head.

Gigachad Mario reference, honestly.

As implied in this achievement, there is a box. This box is located in a secret room in Chapter 3, Transia’s chapter. You must progress a little bit through Chapter 3 until you get the main quest that says “Return to your own studio. Got work to do.” In the hallway outside Transia’s studio, you’ll notice that the right wall has a big ol’ mural. Interact with it and travel through to access the room where the box is located. The game will outright tell you to bonk the box in the style of Super Mario, and offers no explanation, but it really is humorous. Keep bonking it until the box disappears and Transia asks why she just did that. …I don’t know either.
#10. Perfectionist
Get a perfect chapter review.

There is a bit of miscommunication with this achievement’s description. It looks and feels like a completionist achievement that requires you to 100% a chapter. This is actually not the case. I spent TEN hours of gameplay trying to 100% chapters, but getting nowhere in trying to complete this achievement. Don’t be like me. A huge part of my motivation for writing this guide is to save you from the suffering I put myself through.

The actual goal of this achievement is to “get a perfect performance review” during the automaton performance review in Transia’s chapter. I don’t know if this was a lost-in-translation thing, or just mistakenly writing the wrong word, but don’t worry, you don’t have to 100% anything.

Just play through Transia’s chapter for a while, and once you reach the part where Transia bodypaints herself into an automaton and get past the stealth mission, you will reach the performance review section. You must get every single true/false question correct, and then the achievement will be yours.

The correct answers, starting from “We are created by Max HDee,” are as follows:

Left, left, right, right, right, left, and left.
#11. Like-aholic
Click Like 22+ times during the live streaming show.

As implied by this achievement, there will be a live streaming show. It’s near the end of the chapter, and there will be a segment when you are prompted to click the like button.

MASH THAT BUTTON.
#12. Joy & Peace
Finish Transia’s chapter.

You’re about halfway through the game now! Keep it up, you’re doing great!
#13. Court Ringmaster
Score a total of 20+ rings on the game console.

This achievement is located near the beginning of Chapter 4 once you get control of best boi Taiqing. (no I will not shut up about how Taiqing is best boi) Just progress through the story normally until you get to the ring game that the Luser dude built in the basement. Once you’re in the game, don’t exit just yet, otherwise you will jump to the Triratna segment and likely not be able to return to the game.

Now, just play the minigame and get all the rings into the poles. It does take a bit of mindless button mashing to get the rings to bounce off the ground, but once you get at least 20 rings in, you’re good to go. You can go the extra mile and get every single ring into the poles like I did just because I didn’t realize that I just needed 20, but there’s no real benefit to doing that and the last two or three rings might give you pain. I’m speaking from experience.
#14. Exhaust Dialogue
Hear everything Betnone has to say during the debate break.

During the scene where the game’s built-in entrance randomizer locks everyone in the main room of the bandit camp, talk to Betnone (the tiger man) every time you regain control of Triratna.
#15. Camping Trip
Finish the reunion chapter.

The squad is together once again!
#16. Seems Legit
Cheat with an additional plate.

This is actually a very humorous achievement that had me cackling! Once you get to the plate-stacking puzzle aboard the airship, grab four donuts from the previous room and bring them over one by one. You don’t even need to do anything with the wood plates. Just stack up the four donuts on the rightmost pole, biggest on the bottom and smaller as you go up, and you’re good to go!
#17. Of Course
Get the missing key on the first try.

Once you’re at the four-letter keypad aboard the airship, the trio will input each of their letters and the game will break the fourth wall to talk to you. Don’t click off of this text box just yet. Take a close look at the A button prompt on the UI. What’s that letter inside the square? Once you’re prompted to input the final letter, immediately input that letter. Be careful and make sure to input the correct letter on the first try, otherwise you’ll have to backtrack and do it again.

“But wait! I clicked off the text box too soon! What’s the letter??” No worries, I got you. It’s V.
#18. Full Circle
Finish the final chapter.

You did it! Congratulations!
…But wait. There’s still a few more achievements left.
#19. Memento
I won’t tell you how to get this achievement. All I’ll say is that it’s an unmissable achievement you earn during one of the final cutscenes of the game.
#20. Hoarder
Fill the Exhibition Room with everything imaginable.

By this point you’ve either saved up a bunch of stonks (what’s this game’s currency called? Karmarines or something?) or you’ve splurged all of it in the Gachauldron. Either way, you’re on the right track. Keep spending stonks in the Gachauldron until you’ve collected every single possible item in the Exhibition Room. You might have to go back and replay one or two chapters to earn enough stonks to collect the remaining items.

It is worth noting that the His Last Bow achievement is NOT required for this achievement, despite Sherr Lok being a trophy in the exhibition room. However, it’s also worth noting that the first step of the His Last Bow achievement is located in Chapter 4, so should you happen to choose Chapter 4 as your place to grind some more stonks, it would be wise to knock out the first step of that achievement, listed below, while you’re here.
#21. His Last Bow
Unlock trophy Sherr Lok.

This is a very easily missable achievement to get, with a tricky series of steps required to obtain it. So buckle up and hang on tight; this is going to be a wild ride.
  • Head to Chapter 4. Once you get to the safe in the basement that supposedly holds the key, input the correct combination for the lock. Since this is, I’m assuming, not your first run through of this chapter, you probably remember that Generall Tso actually did input the combination to this lock on screen. But chances are you probably didn’t bother to save it for later because it was so quick and casual. But don’t worry. I got you.
  • For the correct combination, start at the top center dot, then move to the bottom left dot. From here, move to the middle right dot, then the center dot, then the middle left dot. Next is the bottom right dot, then the bottom center dot, and the combination ends at the top right dot.
  • After inputting the code, Tarjumdad will enter and break the fourth wall to talk to you. The chapter will end, just like that, and so you can immediately proceed to the next step.
  • Now that you’re back home, go to the exhibition room, and examine the Tarjumdad statue. Plot twist: this is the actual guy, not the statue. He will give you a series of six numbers; save these for later.
  • Go back to Chapter 2 and use Taiqing’s telephone—I mean teller fon—to dial the six digits that the emperor gave you. Since teller fon numbers are only three digits long in this world, you’ll have to call the first three digits and last three digits separately. What matters is that you do them in the correct order.
  • From here, go back home and to the staff room. Parkour your way up to the upper right corner of the room, where you’ll find a secret room. Input the five-block combination from Chapter 2 backwards, or left, center, center, left, left. You will be teleported to a strange new dimension.
  • From this point, talk to Sherr Lok, let the following cutscene play out, and then the achievement is yours.
