Noctuary's ending branches are thankfully quite simple. There are very clear branch points at which events will diverge, and all branch points lead quickly to an ending.

There are very few points in the story where a choice is offered to you. In all of those cases, your choice will affect the ending, so save there.

Getting all the endings in a single playthrough requires one simple prerequisite:

Complete all the sidequests.

More precisely, you must obtain all of the Blessing powerups, which are gained by completing the side quests. You must also complete all of Alina's side quests. There might be some side quests that are strictly unnecessary to getting all the Blessings, but most of them are locked behind the final quest in a series of sidequests, so might as well do them all.

All character names are spoiler-ed below. I recommend reading the guide once without revealing them, then when you get about close to where the branch point happens, reading the names then as it'll be pretty obvious who it is by that point.

There really isn't an official order to the endings, so I've ordered them as I recommend them be done, from a plot perspective.

The first two "endings" are obtained midway through the game. They're essentially Game-Overs with some minor dialogue sprinkled in, as the game forces you to try again until you pass.

Around 54% in the game's progression, the protagonists will proceed a special location where they will fight three boss battles. The first two endings are obtained by failing to defeat certain ones.


To obtain this ending, you must lose the first battle, to Mildia.


To obtain this ending, you must lose the third battle, to Lumina (White) while being assisted by Lumina (Black).

Whether or not you lose the second battle to Lumina (White), without the other character assistant present, does not impact the plot.

After obtaining the previous two endings, keep playing the game until you near the end (93%+ progression). Eventually, you will go to the same location as before to once again fight a series of bosses.

To get this ending, you must lose the battle to The Outsider summoned by Noxistasia Shade.

However, it's not a simple matter of just suiciding, you must lose during the second phase of the boss battle, when the boss issues an attack that darkens the field and attempts to suck you in towards itself.

Shortly after the previous fight, you will be presented with a choice in the dialogue. Choose the left option, Dream.

In the subsequent boss fight against Alina, lose the fight. You must lose during the second phase, after you get a CG in the middle of the fight.

Same setup as Ending 4, but instead, win the fight.

These three endings require you to choose the right option at the previous choice prompt, Reality. Note that this requires you to have completed all of Alina's side quests.

Keep playing the game until you are in an underground chamber and are prompted for one of three choices.


When prompted, choose the right choice, Inherit her power.


When prompted, choose the left choice, let her keep sleeping.


When prompted, choose the center choice, I have another idea....

This requires you to have obtained all of the Blessings, and is from what I can tell intended to be the "True" ending of the game.
