"Easy" Platinum "better than ever" Achievement guide
By poucobit
Easy is far from the true, but "doable" is probably the best word to describe. V.E.R.T.E.X. Pack DLC Required

Intro
Redout is a really fun game, but get a platinum medal definitely was not, at least at the start. I tried to do in the "welcome trial" and in some 2 night tracks that I forgot the name, but was far from the necessary times to break the record, only in the "training run #1" from V.E.R.T.E.X DLC that I saw a possibility. So let me show you a way to do, not the perfect way, but my way.

Requirements
To unlock this achievement, you have to go beyond bronze, silver, and gold. You need to reach a secret time record that will award you a platinum medal. This time usually is...

But for us, we will try the: Event Training Run #1 on the V.E.R.T.E.X. map, and the track is called voxel (DLC Required), the time needed is -5.511 seconds, But how a negative time? I will explain later, cause this is one of the things we have to master.

Ship to use
The achievement is possible with a variety of ships, but this especific Event is only possible to complete with class 2 ships, so we will use: "Sulha AG Racing Djinni" Fully upgraded, giving the acceleration and max speed we need.

As far as the power ups, we will use: Turbo + MS Because we need all the boost possible, and the track is actually manageable, so we don't take so much damage through the whole race.

To be honest, I don't even know if the MS (Magnetic Stabilization) is the best passive power-up for the occasion, but it was the one that I get used to most during the whole game, so driving without him was not up for conversation (please comment if you recommend something else)
Basics
This part is about being in total control of the vehicle. If you feel like you already know everything about piloting, you can skip this section.

Before we even dive into track strategies and so on, to reach the required time record, we need to become almost one with the ship, a deep level of connection that I believe can only be achieved by confidently mastering all the controls and details.

So I recommend watching this tutorial by the YouTuber "Majora the Mayhem" It is so well explained, and even though it's about the basics, I felt that helped me a lot.

Things to master #1 - Speed
In order to complete the race in the designated time, you have to keep a consistent speed; not all the time you will be above 800, but whenever you can, you must do it.

And What is the point of doing this?
When you achieve this velocity the time bonus start and this time will be deducted at the end of the lap, decreasing your general time by little or sometimes enough to be a negative valor, the necessary to get the achievement.

You know your time is being deducted when it is running and Green.

To make this possible, keep getting the boost's during the race, like the one circled in green in the image below:

If you miss 1 or 2 in the first lap is ok, only finishing this lap at high velocity is a necessary step; the second lap is probably when you will break the record because there is no acceleration at the start of the course, only a complete lap at full speed (or the maximum possible.)

But being honest, only when I perfected the course from the start, the laps are polished enough to get the time, so... do some recognition laps, then try to make as perfect as possible from the start.
Things to master #2 - The Jump
This jump is a great shortcut that will make you cut some significant time every lap.
To make the jump, around 16 seconds in the track, after a right turn, you have to be a bit off centered to the left of the boost, but not enough to not take it, like the image below:

This way, you're going to fly over the edge and land on the first part of the curve immediately below:

If you are wonderful, you could land in the second part in the right, like the next image by applying a boost midair, but was hard for me and I conquer the time without, so I judge that is an unnecessary step.

With this jump on your sleeve, you only need to know a simple trick in the final corner and the achievement would be yours, let's see.
Things to master #3 - The Corner
In one of the last corners of the track, you will probably lose speed when making the turn, enough speed lost to dip under the velocity that give us the time bonus.

From the moment of the last jump that I taught you till this corner, you have to not spend boost without a good reason, so when you're making the turn, you use the boost and stay above 800 all the time, keeping the time deduction for longer and probably getting a platinum medal at the end of the third lap.

Conclusion
You can see not only how to make the last turn perfectly, but the entire race in this video by YouTuber "certifiedPyro", that helped me a lot to understand the race, achieve the platinum medal and craft this guide.

Thank you a lot for reading until the end, sorry if I misspelled something, English is not my first language, Hope this tutorial helps.
