Mortars
HOW TO USE MORTARS
  • Spawn as the Mortarman kit
  • Select the mortar tube in slot 7
  • Use left click (aka "Fire" keybind) to place the mortar tube
  • Select the mortar ranging tool in slot 2
  • Change range and rotation increments using the "Cycle Sights" keybind
  • Use "Fire" to use the shovel on the sandbags with text on them to adjust settings like range, direction, and toggling the mortar's HUD
  • Use "Fire" to throw the mortar ammo at the mortar to launch a round. (Impact times can be from 16 - 20 seconds after firing)
  • Use "Interact" (F by default) to pickup the tube after placing it
Construction
HOW TO USE CONSTRUCTION TOOL
  • Spawn as the Commander, Squad Leader A / B, or Combat Engineer kits
  • Select the construction tool in slot 6
  • Use "Cycle Sights" to change the object you want to place

SQUAD LEADER / COMMANDER
  • Place an Outpost to begin building other objects (Requires a logistical vehicle or supply drop and 2 teammates nearby)
  • Use "Fire" (Left click) to place your object if the hologram is green
  • Once the object is placed, either switch to your shovel or ask a teammate to come over and build the object (Note: Commanders do not get a shovel)
  • For objects that require an outpost, like the sandbag wall, ammo crate, or HASCO wall, the only requirement is that the build piece be inside the build range of the outpost.

COMBAT ENGINEERS
Unlike SLs and CMDs, combat engineers can place without needing an outpost nearby, they instead are limited per person. Engineers follow most of the same steps, skipping the outpost placement. If an engineer needs to quickly replace all of their build pieces, say they wanted to reposition, they have an option to delete all their build pieces from the map. To do this, select the construction tool and change the selection to the "Remove All Build Pieces" option and place it like any other build piece.

HOW TO USE SHOVEL
  • Spawn as any kit
  • Select the shovel in slot 7
  • Use "Cycle Sights" to change the shovel between building or destroying
  • Use and hold "Fire" (Left Click) while looking at a buildable object to either build or destroy it

If you cannot place something, left clicking will bring up a notification telling you why you cannot place your desired object
Airstrikes and Supply Drops
HOW TO USE AIRSTRIKES
  • Spawn as the Commander (Requires 5 total squad members and being the Squad Leader)
  • Select the SOFLAM in slot 8
  • Change to the payload you wish to deliver using "Cycle Sights"
  • Aim and click on a location to designate a strike, and a jet will arrive shortly to deliver payload

Precision Bomb
The precision bomb is a highly effective tool to destroy outposts, root out fortified buildings, or take out vehicles from afar. It has limited effectiveness in dense urban environments because of the shallow arc the bomb travels.

Construction Supply Drop
The supply drop is a particularly useful tool for bringing a team back from the brink. It acts as a logistics truck and an ammo crate at the same time. It can be used to build outposts and refill artillery pallets using its limited stockpile of artillery supplies. Once on the ground, the drop lasts for 6 minutes before despawning
Ammo Bags and Mines
HOW TO USE AMMO BAGS
  • Spawn as Rifleman or Scoped Rifleman
  • Select the Ammo Bag from slot 6
  • Find a valid location to place the bag and hit "Fire" to place it
  • Use "Interact" to grab ammo from the bag, this refills 1 magazine for every item in your inventory, including mines
  • Walk over the bag to pick it back up
  • To refill the bag, resupply from an ammo crate or respawn

HOW TO USE ANTI-TANK / ANTI-PERSONNEL MINES
  • Spawn as any kit with landmines
  • Select the mines in your inventory
  • FOR AP MINES Select different trip wire lengths using the "Cycle Sights" keybind
  • Find a valid location to place the mine and hit "Fire" (Left Click) to place it
  • Select your shovel in slot 7
  • AP mines like the OZM72 and M18 Claymore must be constructed to connect the trip wire and arm the mine. AT mines however function immediately after being placed, and digging them up with a shovel will cover the mine in debris to make it hidden
  • Mines of any type can be rearmed from ammo crates or rifleman bags

Mines that you find can be destroyed using direct gunfire to detonate them or by digging them down with the shovel, which prevents detonation
Artillery
SETTING UP THE GUNS AND PALLETS
The commander of a team, either using a supply drop or a logistical truck places down:
  • The howitzer itself | Requires: 1 teammate, and a logistical asset. Limited 3 per team
  • The ammo pallet | Requires: Logistical asset. Limited 3 per team
  • The propellant pallet | Requires: Logistical asset. Limited 4 per team

The logistical truck can then be brought close enough to the pallets to begin automatically offloading supplies into the pallets, turning them into usable shells and propellant charges. Once the logistical truck is empty is can be brought back to main base to be refilled.

Note: Supply Drops can refill pallets also, but cannot be refilled or moved, as such they have a much larger stockpile of resources and can fill pallets up to 25m away

FIRING PROCESS
Any person in the commander's squad can load, fire, or aim the artillery guns, but no other teammates can interact with them. This is to prevent griefing from blueberries. To load the gun, press F (Interact) while looking at an ammo or propellant pallet to switch to the Hands and pick up 1 shell/charge from the pallet. Place the charge/shell anywhere on the gun to load it.

Note: Charges can be loaded up to a maximum of 3 to increase maximum range and travel time.

Once the shell and propellant(s) are loaded, adjust the gun using the Traverse (left/right) and Elevation (up/down) handles by repeatedly pressing F (Interact) on the specified zones.

Note: using the binoculars can get you the distance and bearing of a point you can see up to 2.5km away

The estimated travel time and distance the loaded shot will travel can be displayed by interacting with the map on the left arm of the Iraqi howitzer, or by interacting with the computer on the right side of the Coalition howitzer.

After aiming and loading, hitting F (Interact) on the specified zone will fire the gun, assuming the target position is not within 50m of an active spawn flag such as a main base.

Note: The cannon will shift after firing each shot, so keep a mental or physical note of your angles and readjust after firing to ensure you stay on target!
