Blood and Bacon on Linux: The way I did it
By Lord Voxtron
Here I show you how I did to run this game on Linux using Proton.

I'm not 100% sure it's gonna work for everyone, but I hope it helps you out. It was based upon the method described on ProtonDB, but with some modifications as not everything worked for me.

It's assumed you have a certain level of technical knowledge on Linux. This was tested on Arch Linux, should work in any other distro.

Requirements
First of all, have Winetricks installed in your distro.
On Arch you usually do it like this:

sudo pacman -S winetricks

Install the game.
The method
Go to the game prefix folder located in "[SteamFolder]/steamapps/compatdata/434570/pfx".
[SteamFolder] is of course where you defined your Steam library to be, so replace it with that.

Empty the "pfx" folder, delete everything inside. Some people may be able to make it work without emptying the folder, but for me it only worked like this, it needed a fresh setup.

Run Winetricks inside the "pfx" folder like this:
WINEPREFIX=[PATH]/pfx winetricks dotnet40 xna40
Replace [PATH] with the absolute path that leads to the "pfx" folder.

This command will create automatically a fresh prefix structure for Wine inside the "pfx" folder and also install both .NET Framework 4.0 and XNA Framework 4.0 there.

You can leave Proton as the default one from Valve or try using Proton GE, but for me the default Proton works.

Press play and the game should run now.

After that, If you see an error dialog saying "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application", just ignore it and click OK. You'll soon hear the game intro sound and know it will open. That error dialog is expected to appear only the first time you run.
