Introduction
Welcome to my guide. In this guide you will find strategies to beat the Campaign levels the more efficient way possible. Note that these are not the only paths to beat these scenarios, there are multiple paths to achieve the same objective. I have not gone in depth on last campaign yet so that section of this guide will be marked as a work in progress. I hope you enjoy this guide and thanks for reading it.
Understanding Campaign Mode (general tips)
Unlike the challenges, in campaign prestige does play an important role for some of the objectives. With that being said some of the principles from the challenges do still apply here:
-Selling useless junk: Every single scenario comes with a lot of useless decorations. No one will care about the outside decorations so you are free to sell those as you will need the money for improving your hospital. DO NOT sell the interior decorations, however, because as as I said before, unlike the challenges prestige DOES matter in campaign mode.
-Staff management: Unlike the challenges you want to hire the cheapest and best staff members possible. Some of the staff on the campaign maps are worth keeping as is and others worth replacing with more affordable staff. Staff with very bad red perks that come with the map should be fired immediately. The criteria for hiring staff is as follows (starting rank=higher it is, the initial salary demand expectations will be higher; same rank=lower age candidates demand a lower initial salary than older candidates; perks=loyal candidates will demand 20% less salary than those without this perk at max rank or upon promotion if they are hired at lower ranks).
-Pharmacies are your friends: You need the Hospital Services DLC for this tip but always build a pharmacy to generate extra income every time a patient is cured.
Campaign 1: In Debt
In this scenario you inherit a hospital which has a huge debt. The objective here is to pay all the debt (bonus achievement is to pay the debt back within x days). This could be considered your tutorial scenario into the crisis manager campaign mode. Just use the general tips from this guide and you should be just fine here and clear the debt. Other than that I completed this scenario a long time ago so my memory is not very vivid about this one. The hospital scenario is decent enough though, it comes with ambulances you should sell immediately (each worth 35.000 dollars).
Campaign 2: Inneficient hospital
In this scenario you inherit a very inneficient hospital (and yes, this is as it sounds, the hospital is a complete mess maze). There are several ways to beat this scenario but I do recommend the following path:
-There are only 2 objectives to worry about in this scenario: treat x patients and prestige that interchange for a total of 5 "rounds". You only get 2 departments active here: Emergency and Internal Medicine. This scenario was made back when Internal Medicine was a surgical department but now that it no longer is most of the rooms are just wasting you money and should therefore be deleted immediately. There are ambulances outside (each worth 35.000 dollars). The hospital has 3 floors but frankly we only need 2 floors so we can safely get rid of the last floor. In Radiology we get a CAG room, which frankly is just useless so I recommend getting rid of it as well (the game can only generate patients for departments you have open in hospitals (and CAGs are mostly needed for Cardiology and Neurology, neither of which are open in this scenario). As for the labs I recommend moving them to the 2nd floor. You get access to hospitalization here as well (which if you do not know in Project Hospital is a huge expense, every time a patient needs a bed you are essentially loosing money for staff salaries to tend to them and the time they stay hospitalized, you only get back this money once the patient is discharged or some through surgeries the patient might need, the latter being unavailable in this scenario). Because the hospital is too small for hospitalization in my opinion I recommend getting rid of it entirely (this means selling the Trauma Center, Observation Room, Internal Medicine hospitalization) and instead get more clinic space as needed. These rooms are full of expensive equipment and you will not deal with collapsing patients if hospitalization is not active anyway. Because you sold all this stuff you should have enough space to fit the proper support department equipment on the 2nd floor and remove the last floor entirely. Use this guide general tips to make the rest of the money. You should do fine with turning this hospital into a simple day clinic. There are no bonus achievements here.
Campaign 3: State Grant
Work in progress.
Conclusion
I hope this guide helps you understand a bit more about how the campaign mode works. As stated before I am still working on the campaign 3 itself so therefore I have not yet compiled enough information to turn that into a proper guide. I will keep updating my guide, as always, with information as soon as I gather it. Thank you again for reading it and have a good game. I hope my guide helps you if you are struggling with career mode.
