Overview / How to use this guide
This guide details all the skills given by the 102 dishes in game.

  • In Chapter 1, you can only use Simmer's un-upgraded recipes
  • In Chapter 2, you unlock Grill's recipes, and can upgrade them
  • In Chapter 3, you can upgrade Simmer's recipes, and unlock the Joint recipes

Skills are categorized, with stacking information included as necessary. In parentheses are the max level of each skill, so here's how to read the following:

"s1-3 Grilled Shrimp: Increases maximum health by 20 (/ 60) pts"
  • s = Simmer
  • 1-3 = row 1, column 3
  • Grilled Shrimp = name of dish
  • Increases maximum health by 20 pts = base description
  • Increases maximum health by 60 pts = max level values

NOTE: The DPS counter in game is entirely nonfunctional and does not list damage over time. Ideally, it would display a moving average of the last 10s of damage. Instead, it's DPS per like 0.5s intervals it's very odd.
Warning about Slimy Mold Jelly
If you have g3-2 Slimy Mold Jelly equipped, and die while at full mana, you will respawn with 0hp. You will then be unable to resurrect, bricking your save unless you edit it.

Mobility, Survivability
Recommendations are bolded. Extra move speed from Happy Grass Rolls is great, passive regen to prevent death between bosses from Guava Juice is comfortable, and the Shrimp Pancake is necessary for many boss fights. The Powdered Shark Cartilage allows for tons of damage and a big health pool. Hugely recommended. s5-6 Pappy Panna Cotta stacks with the Shark Cartilage as well, over doubling your effective health pool.

Recommendation is bolded: 90% more damage to bosses is insanely high value. And it works with every single weapon type.

Daggers focus on damage over time. So attack speed is useless, attack damage is useless unless it procs off of the damage over time (like the explosions from s2-7). So focus on your dagger poison; s5-1 literally doubles endgame dagger power.

Total = x63 damage. Each black hole from event horizon does 2 hits of 5884 damage. Each Holy Hand Grenade does 3097 per bounce + 495 per explosion. You can spam event horizon as fast as you can click or press a button, so if you click 4 times per second you're doing 40k damage per second.

Unarmed builds are considerably weaker and harder to use. I couldn't find a bow or gun build, a spear build, an axe build, or a sword build which could compete with any of the above.

Issue with all melee weapons is they'd all share 6 of the 7 skills from the hammer, then that leaves a single flex spot. For sword, there's nothing to improve DPS, nor for axe. Spear can get an additional double damage against a particular target, but the best spear does 60 damage as opposed to the 800 from hammers.

Guns don't do much damage. Hook builds are workable, but weak. There might be a bow build which competes... but I highly doubt a Scythe / Summoner build can possible even enter the conversation.
