What is Steam Deck boot animation?
It’s an animation, video, that greets the user of Steam Deck whenever it's booted up. More often than not the video will feature the Steam Deck logo or with the console’s name. However, there are also many more community made animations based on all kinds of works, or just original beautiful artwork. The Steam itself only offers boot animations to acquire for steam points, but there is a way to get those animations for free through an app.
The app itself is titled Steam Deck Repo Manager, made by waylaidwanderer (at least based off info from the main site [steamdeckrepo.com]). In the guide we will go through installing the app and setting up the custom animation inspired by Studio System Guardian Angel.

You can look at the boot animation here: https://youtu.be/Z2co4uK3GuY

Animation from this guide is a cutscene made by the developer alreti circle, also known as rytuwil. Text in the animation was edited by me
If you also made some kind of Steam Deck boot animations related to this game then contact me and I will add them to this guide. Thanks
I would also like to thank D for small help with the video and translating the guide into English. Thanks you Rain Cloud for the operator’s work
Guide for the experienced
Those that already have the app installed and know what to do, then you can just look for “Becky” or the game’s name in the app’s search bar. That way you will find both variations of the animation: for OLED and LCD
Guide for beginners
You can watch a step-by-step video guide with explanations that I have made for the guide.

Step-by-step guide without the video
If you cannot watch the video, then here is the text version of the guide:
1. Boot up the Steam Deck
2. Enter the Desktop mode
3. In the Desktop mode of Steam Deck open app titled Discover

4. Click on the search bar and look for repo manager

5. Download the app and launch it. A window will pop out that features various community made animations for the Deck. We need to search for Becky or the game’s name

6. Press on the Download button of the preferred animation (OLED or LCD)
7. Congratulations - you have installed a custom animation onto the device! Now exit the Desktop mode.
8. Go to the Steam settings - customisation. There should be two switches:
Move video animations - if you have more than one kind of animation, then the installed ones will play in random sequence.
Show when exiting sleep mode - when booting up the device from sleep mode the animation will play out.
Now you can just check mark the specific animation you desire, that is if you did not turn on the “shuffle video animations”
