Quick Note
Everything that's available for the vanilla version of Street Fighter 3 Alpha is also available here, this guide is just to make it easier to access the information while playing.
------------Game Modes------------
Dramatic Battle Mode
Wait for the game's logo to go away, then hold all three Kick buttons simultaneously, then press Start.

If done right, once you select a character, you'll see them paired up with a second one automatically.
If you want to play alongside a friend, start Dramatic Battle as normal, and wait for them to join in.
Survival Mode
Wait for the game's logo to go away, then hold all three Punch buttons simultaneously, then press Start.

If done right, you should see the words "SURVIVAL MODE" on the top right corner of the character select screen.
Final Battle Mode
After selecting your ISM, press and hold: Start + LP + MK + HP.

If done correctly, you'll skip the character's introduction and be immediately shown the Versus Screen with your character and Dictator.
Classic Mode
Wait for the game's logo to go away, then hold Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick, then press Start.

If done right, your character will skip ISM selection. You will also gain the following attributes:

  • X-Ism Strength
  • No Guard Meter
  • No Super Meter
  • Dizzy opponents more easily
Mazi Mode
Wait for the game's logo to go away, then hold Medium Punch and Medium Kick and press Start.

If done right, once you start a match, you'll see MAZI written in front of whatever ISM you picked, as pictured below:

In this mode, both you and your opponent deal more damage. Additionally, you have to win 2 rounds as normal, but your opponent only needs to win one.

Saikyou Mode
Wait for the game's logo to go away, then hold Low Punch and Low Kick and press Start.

This will cause your character to have a very low Guard Meter, but not your opponent.
------------Easter Eggs------------
Boxer's Turn Punch Counter
Before a match starts, hold Low Kick and Heavy Punch.

If done correctly, once you hold either all 3 Punch buttons or all 3 Kick Buttons to start charging Turn Punch, you'll see a number pop up below Balrog's name.

Punch buttons will show orange numbers.

Kick buttons will show blue numbers.

The count goes from 1 to F, with 1 being the minimum charge and F being the maximum, respectively.

You have to input this code every round for the counter to appear.

Boxer's Infinite Taunting
Boxer, (Mike Bison in Japan/Balrog in the rest of the world) is the only character in the game that can taunt infinitely. If you wait for a bit and then start mashing random buttons, he'll start knocking his fists together faster and faster until a certain limit.

Though if you get hit or stop, you won't be able to taunt again until the round ends, just like everyone else.
Mighty Final Fight Sodom
If you select Sodom's X-ISM, his palette will change to resemble his Mighty Final Fight appereance and he will fight with dual katanas instead of the jitte he normally fights with. It also changes some of his win poses and renders him unable to taunt.

The artworks in the game also display his katanas.
Rolento takes Cody Prisoner
Rolento has a super move called Take No Prisoners, which causes him to launch trip wires across the strange and strangle the opponent. This attack can usually be avoided by blocking while crouched.

However, Cody specifically is the only character in the game hard coded to be unable to block Take No Prisoners, possibly as a reference to his status as a fugitive in the game's storyline and Rolento being on the hunt for him.
Rolento's Grenade
Taunting with Rolento usually causes him to throw a fake grenade that explodes in a small puff of smoke. However, if you do it while close to the opponent, it will actually explode and temporarily set the opponent on fire, dealing a single point of damage.
------------Secret Characters------------

In this release of the game, Shin Akuma/Gouki and Final Dictator are readily available.

To select either one, highlight the respective character, hold Start and select using any Attack Button.

For Akuma, if done right, you will see a different palette on the Character Select Screen and "Shin Akuma" will be displayed below his life bar during matches. (the Versus Screen doesn't change the name.)

Final Dictator uses the same palettes as the default version. Instead, you will know you've selected him if the game skips the ISM selection. During matches, his Super Meter will be replaced with one that resembles the X-ISM, but with the Shadaloo logo instead.
