The game has a fixed population cap, without mods this is 100 points.
When you build units, it will increase the amount of population and when you lose units, it will decrease.
Depending on the unit type, it will cost more of that population cap or less.

For example a Riflemen squad will cost 7 population cap and give you a 5 man squad.
A M4A3 Sherman on the other hand cost you 12 population cap and only gives you one vehicle.

This population cap limits the total amount of units you can have at one point on the battlefield.

Now the US Forces have a special ability to them, that no other nation has.
Abandoning vehicles, every tank in the game has the option to have the tank crew to dismount the vehicle and when the crew exits the tank, your used up population cap will decrease (Not to zero).
Now to get more tanks on the battlefield is quite easy.

- Build as many tanks as the game allows
- Dismount all crew from every tank
- Build more tanks, repeat as often as the game allows
- Have each crew enter their tank
- Now you have more tanks then the opponent is able to get

There are some downsides:
- You can't replace/build any unit till the population cap used is below 100 again
- You can build a Captain and have them supervise the tank production building to massively increase the production speed of tanks, but that will cost you population cap points, which then in turn would cost you a possible extra tank

Now that you know how to dismount vehicles, we can do another fun trick.
This trick is a little micro heavy.

- Build a tank or armored car.
- Build the armory upgrade to unlock launchers
- Dismount your crew from the vehicle
- Let the crew get as many launchers as they can carry
- Mount the vehicle again
- Hunt for an enemy vehicle
- When found, engage and do as much damage with your vehicle
- When your vehicle is about to die, dismount crew and continue with the launchers
