🔫 What Is Spray Control?

In CS2, when you hold down mouse1, your bullets don’t all go in a straight line.
Instead, they follow a spray pattern — a set, predictable recoil path.

Spray control = pulling your mouse in the opposite direction of that pattern to keep your shots accurate.

It wins close-range duels where tapping isn’t fast enough.

It helps you multi-frag enemies without stopping to re-aim.

It makes rifles like the AK-47 and M4A4 deadly at all ranges.

🔧 Step-by-Step: How to Learn Spray Control
1️⃣ Start in a Spray Practice Map

Use these Workshop maps:

Recoil Master – Spray Training

Aim Botz – Training

Yprac Spray Trainer

2️⃣ Pick One Gun to Start With

Start with the AK-47 (most punishing but rewarding), then move on to:

M4A4 (full auto)

M4A1-S (easy pattern, low recoil)

Galil or FAMAS (less common, but good to know)

3️⃣ Learn the First 10 Bullets

That’s 90% of your fights.
AK-47 Pattern:

⬇️ (Pull straight down)
⬅️➡️ (Then slightly left, then right)
M4A4 Pattern:

⬇️ (Down)
➡️⬅️➡️ (Right-left-right movement)

Watch your bullet impacts on the wall → mimic them in reverse with your mouse.
4️⃣ Drill It!

Stand still, aim at a wall

Fire 30 bullets

✅ Do:

Crouch during full sprays for extra accuracy

Aim for the chest, recoil will carry to the head

Use short bursts (5–7 bullets) if your aim isn’t fully locked yet

Spray while jumping or running
