Intro

Hey folks. Originally this was a blatant copy/paste of a list of Artifacts[chat.hackslashloot.com] in the game. However, with many additions by ManOfHonor and others, this guide has gone quite beyond the original. Thank you to all who have helped!

Boss Items / Relics / Artifacts:

Are special items with special abilities.
You can only start a quest with one of these items or none. A somewhat exception to this rule is Guldar's complete set, which requires three items (helmet, armor and shield collected over three separate runs and equippable individually) to be made. Once made, the set is one item.
You only need to pick up the item and see the description (wait for the pop up) to permanently add it to your collection.

Important!

To see if there is going to be a mini-boss/secret on a given level, look at your turn log for an additional message when you enter a level. An example is in Level 2 of Journey to the Kimon where it says: "A dungeon fit for a king.", which means that the Goblin King is somewhere on the level.

Jorney to the Kimon

Steel Runesword (Level 2, from Goblin King chest, clue: "A dungeon fit for a king.")
+7/20 Melee, +Necrotic Damage
Zeus' Javelin (needs confirmation, either Level 3 or Level 4)
+5/18 Ranged, +Lightning damage
Shoutout to Varnangard, Lone Wanderer and Lounge Wizard for info on the javelin!

Mask of the boy king

Girdle of Hippolyta (Level 2, from Lich Prince chest, clue: "The tombs look more regal here.")
+2/4 Range, +7 Defence, +Poison(Acid) Resistance, -Fire, Resurrect
The 2020 update made this item available on PC, before that time it was mobile exclusive. Props to PSYKOSIS for pointing that out.
Burial Mask (Level 5, dropped by the last boss)
+3/2 Melee, +2/2 Ranged, +1/2 Magic, +8 Defence, +Necrotic Resistance, -Lightning

They Dwell Beneath

Black Leather Necronomicom (Level 5, can be found at the same room as the final boss in a safe)
+6/3 Melee, +6/+3 Ranged, +6/+3 Magic, +3 Defence, +Necrotic Resistance, -Divine, Shadowform
Vorpal Longsword (Level 5, random drop)
+7/26 Melee, +Silvered Damage, +Dragon Bane Damage

Dark hearts and evil minds

Eye Stalk Necklace (Level 4, dropped by the Eye terror boss — you'll need shadowform to get it; clue: "Eye for an eye.")
+5/+10 Magic, Magic Defence, +2 Defence, +Psychic Defence

You can only pick one of three from the quest (i.e. you have to do it 3 times to get them all):

Guldar's Helmet (Level 5, from the chest)
+7 Defence, +6/3 Melee, +Fire Resistance, -Silvered, Map
Breastplate of Guldar (Level 5, from the armor rack)
+4/1 Melee, +1/0 Ranged, -1/0 Magic, +9 Defence, +Psychic Resistance, -Divine
Etheral Shield (Level 5, from the chest)
+6 Defence, +Lightning Resistance, Shadowform

Once you have all three, you can take the full set with you when starting a new quest.

Battle for Stormrise

Chef's Meat Cleaver (Level 1, dropped by the Human Chef, clue: "What's cooking?")
+1/11 Melee, +Silvered Damage, Swift
Unicorn's Horn (Level 2, dropped by the Unicorn from the Castle Zoo, clue: "It's like a zoo in here.")
+5/2 Magic, +5 Defence, +Silvered Resistance, -Necrotic
Jesters Hat (Level 5, dropped by the Jester in the king's room)
Regeneration
(yes, it has a typo in its title and yes, it provides no buffs other than regen)

Tower of the Magus

Wizard's Slippers (Level 2, need a shadowform item to get it because it's hidden in a safe in a location surrounded by walls. Indicated by a blue torch)
+8/4 Magic, Magic Defence, +4 Defence, +Fire Resistance, Spawning (It's the ability that some of the Lemures have in Battle for Stormrise which means they can create clones of themselves. It doesn't have an icon or any indicator because it wasn't intended for the player, one such item can create two copies of its owner if you skip turns)
Staff of the Magus (Level 5, dropped by the final boss and his clones. WARNING: you have to pick it up BEFORE killing all of them, otherwise you win the quest without getting the artifact.)
+5/18 Magic, +Fire Damage
Geldofon's staff was added in the recent update, a big shoutout to Patches for providing the info about this item.

The Isle of Weeping Woods

Composite Longbow (Level 2, dropped by a Shadow Ent)
+0/9 Ranged, +Necrotic Damage, +Elf Bane Damage, Swift

Composite Longbow was introduced in the recent update together with this quest, a big shoutout to Patches, Geist and Varnangard for providing the info about this item.
Elvish Cloak (Level 4, dropped by one of the undead in the graveyard)
+2/1 Melee, +5/2 Ranged, +7/3 Magic +2 Defence, +Silvered Resistance, -Necrotic, Map
Reaper's Robe (Level 5, dropped by one of the enemies in the final fight when you touch the Tree of Austras Koks)
+1/2 Melee, +1/2 Ranged, +1/2 Magic, +8 Defence, +Necrotic Resistance, Resurrection

All quests/Random

Ring of Gax (Level 5 random drop)
Regeneration, Magic Defence, +4 Defence, +6/+5 Magic, +8/4 Ranged, +10/3 Melee
Gloves For Idle Hands (I'm pretty sure it's a level 2 random drop, I don't remember what quest and I don't know if it's an artifact like Ring of Gax which drops in any quest)
+13/2 Melee, +4/2 Ranged, +4/2 Magic, +2 Defence, +Poison(Acid) Resistance, -Fire, Spawning
It has been proven that Gloves For Idle Hands can be obtained in They Dwell Beneath quest level 2 or level 3.

I found Zeus Javelin in the torture room boss (Floor 3) on Journey to the Kimon

Thanks for the guide, it has been very useful.

I can confirm that the Elf Bow has the "Elf bane" effect. https://imgur.com/b2ftQCT

I also got "Zeus' Javelin" artifact (+5/18 Ranged, +Lightning damage), but I don't remember where I got it, it was a random drop at lvl 3 or 4 maybe in "Dark Hearts and Evil Minds" but I'm no sure of it. https://imgur.com/rbIoDD9

But I'll add a note saying that it was proven that you can loot them in They Dwell Beneath.

Cool! Maybe I'll try to loot them again sometime when I play again. If there is proof that they are limited to They Dwell Beneath, I'll update the guide.

I also got Gloves in Dwell quest, but on lvl 3 (64bit).
