42.10.0 Update: Reverted a previous fix for Balaclava Clipping after player feedback. Changed Balaclava body location back to Mask.

This mod is no longer needed, as the change to balaclavas has been reverted. I've unlisted it, but will leave it up to avoid causing errors about a missing mod.

Update B42.9 moved the Balaclava from "Mask" to "FullHat" which limits which clothing items can be worn with balaclavas.

This mod creates a dedicated clothing slot for balaclavas, so you can wear them with anything. The mod doesn't pause to ask questions like "Does that make sense", "will that cause ugly clipping" or "why the heck would wear that with a balaclava!" so go crazy.

This mod only updates the vanilla balaclava and open-face balaclava, as any modded balaclavas were unaffected by the 42.9 change so they can stay working the same way they always have.

Thanks to redditor WHY_WILL_IT_MATTER for demonstrating conclusively that it is possible to wear a balaclava and glasses and providing the mod's preview image.


This mod is safe to add to existing playthroughs. It will make any worn balaclavas unequip when you load for the first time, but you can fix that by putting them back on.


You may also be interested in Wear Anything With Anything which removes all the exclusive slot logic so you can wear a hat, fullhat, mask, welding mask, glasses, and two Eye-patches at the same time. This mod is still useful if you want to move the move the Balaclava into a mask slot, or if you just want a fix for the balaclava and don't want to remove all the exclusions.
