Hey!

DREADTOME is a fairly short game, but it can be confusing at times- the portals were especially tricky at first.

There are 13 Data Logs scattered throughout the game that provide some lore (during my playthrough I found 10; I added screenshots for the other 3- see the timestamps below).
Video Guide

Timestamps:

1:12 = Data Log 1 (Receptionist's Journal)
1:52 = Data Log 2 (Report on the Generators)
2:08 = Data Log 3 (Mission Objective)

2:33 = Data Log 4 (A Scholar's Plea)
3:21 = Data Log 5 (A Successful Theft!)

3:37 = Weapon Upgrade: Tome of Focus Abundance (changed after an update)

4:11 = Data Log 6 (The Sion-Iakini Portals)
5:49 = Data Log 7 (Elevator Entity)

6:30 = (New) Data Log 8 (Golden Rats. After you kill the two monsters, check the corner next to the stairs)


6:46 = (NEW) Data Log 9 (Soldier's Journal. After you activate the button, follow the blue/white wires until you reach two doorways on the right. Go through one of them, and you'll find Data Log 8 on a ledge)


8:34 = Data Log 10 (Return from Below)
9:08 = Data Log 11 (Cave Diver's Journal)

11:16 = (NEW) Data Log 12 (Expedition Records. Right after you defeat the monsters in the ambush, but before you go through the now-open door on the left, you'll find Data Log 11 on the edge)


12:12 = Data Log 13 (THIS IS A CRY FOR HELP)

Yeah, the others haven't changed, and I think I found them all because I got the achievement for finding all the tomes.

I saw some complaints that the magazines are too short. I guess the devs addressed that issue by changing that tome.

Replayed the game. That one tome is called Tome of Abundance now. Other tomes are the same, as far as I can tell.

I replayed the game after the last big update (when they added achievements) and I think the tomes are all in the same place as in the video. The only thing that I noticed was different- the 'optional' tome was changed from 'Tome of Focus' to 'Tome of Plenty'- now it makes the magazines carry more bullets. I'll play through the game once more just to check if some of the others have been changed.

Let me know is you noticed something else.

Please update the guide. It seems that either the tomes have been moved around or they are random.
