What are shares?
In Planet S, shares are parts of a colony that you can buy to get a portion of that colony's revenue. Each share is 25% of the total colony, and will get you 25% of the total revenue from the colony per share (Since it is only revenue, you can only profit).
How can they be bought?
To buy a share, go to the colony you want to buy a share of, and zoom in. Click the image on the far right that looks like a pie chart. Now, click 1 of the 4 shares and purchase it. You do not require the owner's permission to buy a share of their colony.

Buy-Backs
When you buy a share of someone's colony, they receive the money spent on purchasing the colony immediately, but lose 25% of the revenue from their colony. For this reason, bots will immediately buy back their share of the colony, unless they are in debt. If they are in debt, the money they receive from you purchasing a share in their colony will not be enough for them to buy it back.
Group Investing
When buying shares, there is a 300 second cool down. This applies to both the investor and the owner of the colony. This means that if 2 players buy shares of the same colony at the same time, the owner can only buy back 1 share. This means that you can eventually buy out the entire colony by working together.
Takeovers
A player who owns 100% of a colony can take it over. By using these methods, you can potentially take over a completely profitable of impoverished colony without using any military force.
