[WotC] Allow Negative Cohesion

Description
⚠️ This mod is functionally useless on its own. Install it only if another mod requires it. ⚠️

This mod enables support for negative cohesion values between soldiers. By default, XCOM 2 doesn't have any event that causes the cohesion between 2 soldiers to decrease.

What This Mod Does:
Enables negative cohesion.
Adds UI support: negative cohesion is shown with a red bar. Filling in the opposite direction.
Decreases team cohesion when failing a mission.

Why Download This?
You shouldn't, unless:
You're using a mod that implements cohesion penalties. (none exist yet as far as I know)
You're a modder making a mod that implements cohesion penalties. (i.e. me)

Safe to add mid-campaign. Compatible with everything. No overrides.

I was intrigued by your comment. You were so specific about it being a true negative and not a positive with a negative label, as if you had tried to make something like it, or where using some other mod that did it the other way.

Mind you - I doubt I personally will make any mod that builds on this; I just tend to ask a lot about what's possible and such.

Still, what a speedy response this was - lots of props to that.

To reply to the question as to what did I have in mind when I suggested this:

I was thinking that if you also implemented Cohesion Loss events, you could do the following - for instance, assuming that Compatibility ranges from 0 to 1:

Assuming that right now the formula is Final Cohesion Gain = Compatibility * (Base Cohesion Gain).

Then, you could change it to something like:

Positive Cohesion Gain = Compatibility * (Base Cohesion Gain)
AND
Negative Cohesion Loss = (1 - Compatibility)*(Base Cohesion Loss).

And once you do that, you could have negative Cohesion thresholds where the negative bonds (frictions?) appear.

It's not the same but one of the things I liked in Dragon Age II was that it wasn't just about building friendships with everyone. You could be a rival to your companions and that led to them having a different special skill than if the PC was friendly with them.

Maybe rivals in XCOM 2 would get a small Will or Aim boost as they don't want to appear inferior.

Big fan of your mods. I downloaded even though this might not be used. I have downloaded all your behavioral, dating sim, scenario, emotions, etc. mods

One day you or someone is going to build on top of these mods, and the result is going to be a really sweet role-playing and immersive experience for us XCOM 2 WOTC players.

This idea does sound pretty fun actually. I could also see soldiers gaining negative cohesion through stuff like friendly fire

Ngl something like "trashtalk" that activate when you have really big negative cohesion during tactical play making you lose 10aim for a turn would be funny
