Introduction
We shall keep this very short and sweet. I will be placing my personally collected knowledge about the game here for others who may be in need of a different view. I hope this is helpful and will remove your need to search. I am obviously not the only person who has collected this information, and I do not claim to be unique in my findings. Please note that this game shares many similarities to Phantom Brave in how it is played but is in itself another fun variation of the formula.

I do not claim to be the original and only founder of any of this information. This is merely a collection of both my findings in game and those of cursory internet searches that revealed many and multiple sources for the information scattered over the web.

If you have found this information useful, please rate, give a like, comment, and/or favorite.

Hunts
The Mayor of Bellville will task you, the Hunter, with killing specific targets within Bellville Woods. Each "Hunt Target" will follow the same basic rules:

  • Will NOT regenerate health
  • Will be highly aggressive once activated
  • Will activate the "Darkness Sense" skill when close enough
  • Is effected by the "Evil Sight" skill
  • The shadows of the environment will spin when the "Hunt Target" has the Hunter in sight
  • Each "Hunt Target" is highly dangerous and can kill the Hunter quickly

To avoid "Hunt Target" spoilers: GO NO FURTHER
First Hunt
Werewolf / The Beast
The werewolf is highly aggressive and will chase until it is close enough to attack at this point it will aggressively slash the Hunter. Will flee upon receiving damage from the Hunter every time.
Recommendations: Shots do high damage and will greatly shorten this hunt. Save crosses for more difficult hunts.

Second Hunt
Sacrificial Tree and The Witch

Sacrificial Tree
Hides amongst the other trees in the wood attempting to ambush the Hunter. Will lash out with branches if too close. Spits acid / poison in the expected Hunter's movement path, touch water or consume a healing plant to remove. Will Continue to chase the Hunter for a extended time if combat is started. Is also constantly being guarded by the invincible version of the Witch that can instantly kill the Hunter should she make physical contact.
Recommendations: Use tree cover to avoid acid / poison if available. Stay near water. Abuse the slowness of its approach and take headshots frequently. Keep distance and be aware that the spit is predictive of the Hunter's movement direction and not their current position.

The Witch (Invincible)
Before the "Sacrificial Tree" is downed, "The Witch" will wander the map in this haze-like form with a shadow. She is not damageable in this state. She will let out sight-disorienting screams as she approaches the Hunter and if she makes contact a jump-scare will be produced and the sound of bones breaking will play. If the Hunter has the "Second Chance" skill and enough mana they will survive and teleport away. The sound is believed to be the Hunter's neck being snapped / broken by "The Witch".
Recommendations: Avoid contact. A special eye icon will appear in the upper left if "The Witch" is affecting the Hunter's vision.

The Witch
Will become vulnerable after defeating the "Sacrificial Tree". Lets out an ear piercing scream that affects vision. Will instantly kill you if close physical contact is obtained. Can summon "Acid Spitter / Evil Plant" minions. Can also launch fireballs. Can teleport. Can go invisible and rush toward the Hunter.
Recommendations: Avoid contact. A special eye icon will appear in the upper left if "The Witch" is affecting the Hunter's vision. Stay near water to wash off acid / poison. Jumping the fnece beside the cabin is a good way to avoid direct contact when "The Witch" rushes the Hunter.
Third Hunt
Child of the Devil Humanoid Form and True Form

Child of the Devil Humanoid Form
Incredibly fast and hunts similar to the "Werewolf" / "The Beast". Retreats after taking damage.
Recommendations: Enter the Bellville Woods from the bridge and let it come to you. Another option is to use the "Cabin Fast Travel Sign", then go inside the fenced area and wait for it. Use the acid/lava pools to kill the enemies that spawn. Leave spider eggs on the ground to use as needed.

Child of the Devil True Form
Will appear from the Lake near the cabin after defeating the "Child of the Devil Humanoid Form". Spits poison in the expected Hunter's movement path. Spits fire/acidballs of acid/lava onto the ground that damage the Hunter and other enemies on touch. Spits a spider egg at the player which causes a jump scare effect if it makes contact with the Hunter and will hatch a spider shortly after. Will also roar with the same effects as "The Witch" scream. Spits out a black cloud that is hard to avoid that brings the Hunter to critical health, drains the Hunter's mana, and produces at jump scare.
Recommendations: Aim for the 6 respawning pustules, 3 on each side, to hurt it. Bring many "Silver Crucifixes" and place 2 after destroying the 4 easier to shoot pustules.Run away and collect gold by killing the respawning enemies then return to town to collect bounties and buy supplies as needed. The roar is also an opportunity to shoot the higher pustules.
Note: If using no "Silver Crucifixes", the upper pustules can be shot easier by fast traveling in and running close then crouching and aiming upward. They will be slightly more visible and easier to shoot in this way. Additional Note: "Bellville Fast Travel Sign" will be broken but the Hunter can still walk to the town and then fast travel back to the cabin as needed.
