How to invite People! (without Adding or invite them in Friendlist)

No Friend request Spam anymore.

We simply need to copy our friend invitation (Steam link) and share it wherever we want to invite a stranger.
This generally works for any game.

  1. 1.Go to the Settings in Lobby Menu.

    2.Change Lobby Mode into Friends if not done yet.
    (This Fixes the Issue, if you dont see the Green Join Button any more)


  2. Host the Lobby


  3. If youre loaded in Airport, Open your Steam Overlay:
    Press: [SHIFT + Tabulator]

    (If: "Choose a Friend to invite" Popup opens up --> Close this popup --> Press [ESC] --> Press: [SHIFT + Tabulator] again and continue with Step 3.)


    Tabulator: 1.
    Shift: 2.


  4. On the Bottom, Left Click on Friends category


  5. Now Left Click on your profile Picture


  6. On the right side of your Profile, there is a Green Button called "Join Game" --> Right Click on it and Copy that Link


  7. Now you can share this link for example in Steam Discussions or Discord.


    The Player who wants to join, simply needs to paste and [ENTER] this link inside any kind of a Browser.
    Steam will automatically opens up and connect to the Host player.

    Please note:
    According to reports, accessing the link via the Microsoft Edge browser sometimes does not work at all. I do not know a solution to this. If you know the solution, please let me know and I will publish it here.

How to avoid Intruders / Cheaters / Trolls
Once you have Pasted your Steam invite link to a Steam discussion thread or a Discord channel chat, for example:

Make sure you delete the link once all your Teammates joined.

This way, you keep basic control of who joins / And is able to. (It could happen that someone may randomly join your lobby out of no where because he was able to see your Steam Link and may sabotage your Gameplay Experience.)

PEAK currently have no option to kick players.

@Bunkinstan: I see. I couldnt replicate it on my side.

Steam Beta; playing with your Steam Settings --> Interface: Automatic Screen Scaling in Settings and maybe taking a look into your profile in Steam (without using the Overlay) if its also non vissible there are some ways to check.

If you find a solution It would be an enrichment for other players who are facing the same issue. I simply would integrate it into this Guide with your Reference.

I adjusted the Guide now. You simply need to go to:

Settings on the Game's Main Screen (not ingame) and Change "Invite Only" to "Friends".
