The Kri Ascendancy
Long before recorded history, before stars bore names and empires dreamed of dominion, the Kri ruled the entire Andromeda galaxy with absolute authority. Their supremacy was not questioned - it was nature. One by one, every other race was either extinguished or absorbed into their expanding empire, leaving only silence and submission in their wake.

But even gods can fall.

A catastrophic experiment - one that sought to bend the very fabric of reality - backfired with near-apocalyptic consequences. The result was devastation on a galactic scale. In an instant, the near-infinite sprawl of the Kri Empire was reduced to ruin. With barely a few hundred survivors, the Kri entered a state of stasis, vanishing from history and leaving only myths and ruins behind.

Now, after millions of years, they awaken.

Their numbers are few, but their technology, instincts, and will remain formidable. Cold, calculating, and ancient beyond comprehension, the Kri see the fractured galaxy as theirs by right - not to conquer anew, but to reclaim. They view modern civilizations as trespassers squabbling over scraps of a domain that was never theirs to begin with.

They are not invaders.
They are the returning rulers of a throne never truly vacated.
