Ah, that's super helpful, @MarshmallowBear. I didn't know that and that's definitely what I'm experiencing as I've been playing on larger Pangaea maps. Well, consider this my continued encouragement for enhancement visibility for Founders :D. Thanks again for the mod!

@Busty If you start with visibility of 1, the map generation made you a "Distant Land", do not use Balanced Starts on larger maps. There's some other caveats to this state (including inability to see ANY goody huts), and, obviously, starting on Distant Lands, but that's no longer such a big deal since they made numerous changes to the resources spawning.

Sounds good. As you say, it may be a mod conflict on my end. Either way, hope you'll consider an expanded view range for the Founder. I recall a similar mod existing for Civ VI (no movement penalties + enhanced view range). It was a real QoL improvement to make more initial spawns viable. Thanks again!

@Busty I'll look into this more, but that's not an issue I'm having on my end- and the Founder unit only has a sight range of one by default. It's possible this is a conflict with another mod.

Thanks for preparing. This mod appears to reduce your Founder's starting visibility, eliminating the value of any additional movement. Suggest incorporating Sabre's recommendation for this to get traction with the community.

I could, but when I tried that when initially making this I ended up not liking it. This saw a few different revisions as I was working on it and this was the version I liked best. It's not too difficult to edit the file yourself to make that change, though!

Can you give them slightly more sight range too?
