in the showcase video, how did you make all the hordes around you alert? it looked pretty cool. i swear i've seen those kind of mod on the page while ago

also when making addons in general u dont have to make a subfolder called addons, just label the folder whatever u want and the .vpk generator will put it under a folder called root automatically. otherwise the game wont be able to read the contents

yea when ur making sfx mods, the frequency, mono/stereo and length of each sound has to match the original or else there will be screeching. only way to circumvent this is add a line in gameinfo.txt and load a custom folder over the base game and build a sound cache for that. try following this guide if ur interested
