So, how do we get around this? The simplest way is to expand your realm. The bigger it is, the more baronies there will be that speak your language and the easier your legend will grow. It can still be difficult to hit that three-hundred baronies number, however, if you're working your way up to emperor. Once your realm encapsulates three-hundred baronies, getting your legend to max quality will be very easy.

Knowing how legends spread, this question tends to come to mind automatically. If we learn our neighboring languages, will our legends spread faster? The answer to that question is: I don't know, because I haven't tested it yet.

We have two options: 'extol domestic legend' and 'commend legend abroad'. Which option you pick depends on how big your realm is. If your realm is small, extolling domestic legend is somewhat pointless because there are so few baronies for it to spread through. You really want to go with 'commend legend abroad'. What this does is encourage neighboring rulers to start spreading your legend for you, though it spreads more slowly through their realms than it does through yours. It's unlikely that you'll be able to hit three-hundred baronies through the second method.

If you want a sure-fire way to get max quality legends every single time, make your realm bigger and 'extol domestic legend'. Once you control your local empire, this process becomes fairly easy. If your de-jure empire isn't that large, then you can go ahead and finish off the last few missing baronies with 'commend legend abroad'.
