This achievement is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥; there is no way around this. Platinuming videogames are overrated, and your videogame experiences are typically be better if you don't tear your hair out wrestling with nonsensical RNGs.

If you are passing by this game just for fun, I recommend skipping this achievement. There are many ways to better spend the time of your life, including: playing another game; playing this game again; doing the final boss on hard mode; or hell, even learning to cook an egg yourself in real life.

If this doesn't deter you and you are determined to get this (or at least, morbidly curious enough to try), then read on.

• Core strategy: trap each cockroach inside a glass, head-first.
  
• Ingredient order: a Shot Glass followed by a Cockroach. Four pairs. The egg comes last.
  
• For the first pair of items: without moving at all, drop the first glass at the center, then drop the cockroach immediately as follow-up.
  
• For the subsequent pairs of items: without moving at all, wait for the previous cockroach to struggle and move the glass, then repeat the previous step.
  
• RNG matters. If you don't get the randomisation you need, restart. Try again and again.
  
• Being good at the game helps. Learn to flip comfortably.
  
• Pray to your god of fortune.

No matter the skill level, there are a lot of RNGs involved in this. If you have faith in the Lady of Luck, the RNG God, or some deity in your local culture, now is the time to say your prayer and hope for the best.

With the stars aligned and the RNG God in your favours, it might be possible for win this with all the four cockroaches being free. But I wasn't that lucky and I'm not masochistic enough to find out.

If the name of the achievement doesn't give away the hint itself: the key to winning this is to trap the cockroaches themselves. The initial placements of the ingredients are essential.

The first order of business is to pick the ingredient exactly in this order in the sandbox menu:

• Shot Glass
  
• Cockroach
  
• Shot Glass
  
• Cockroach
  
• Shot Glass
  
• Cockroach
  
• Shot Glass
  
• Cockroach
  
• Egg

With each glass dropped, try your best to trap one cockroach in it.

In order to do so, you need to land the cockroach inside the glass head-first. The rotation of the cockroach is randomised, so this is where Lady of Luck will come in and give you the blessing at the right angle.

Depending on the angle, it is possible to use impact against the side of the glass to the re-orientate cockroach head-first and put it in the right place, though needless to say, this can be challenging. Even dropping the cockroach inside the glass can be difficult due to the camera perspective and the missing shadow guide (which is present in the story mode campaign). As of now, I unfortunately haven't found way to make the aiming easier, outside of sheer practice, repetition, and luck.

Take note that dropping the cockroach into the glass the wrong way, tail-first, can be dangerous, as it triggers the cockroach to fly, sometimes enough to escape the pan (which is an instant fail).

The first drop is always the easiest: without moving with the right thumbstick/mouse, drop the first two items back to back. Provided that the rotation of the cockroach doesn't screw you over, you should have a good visualisation of what your ideal setup should look like. It is also not a bad idea that, if you don't get the ideal result for the first pair of items, drop the next one outside the pan for an instant restart and try again.

It is also possible to cheese the rest of the drops. After the first drop, continue not moving at all, and wait for the first cockroach to struggle, which will reposition the first glass. Eventually, the middle spot (the red disk), will be cleared, allowing you to drop the next glass and cockroach precisely on the same spot. But again, this also requires some luck with the cockroach's orientation.

And this is 75% of the way to get there.

With enough luck and skill, you can start the cooking with all the four cockroaches trapped inside the four glasses. The rest of it is one elegant flip to cook the other side of the egg, without rocking the pan too much and toppling any glass. Hopefully the game has prepared you enough for this at this point.

Yeah, can't win this without some good old-fashioned flipping skill.

In all likelihood and luck, you most probably don't have the all the four cockroaches trapped most of the times. Three trapped cockroaches is very good, and even two is still significantly easier than all four running wild and free.

Three free cockroaches is where you probably should get an instant restart and try again.

There is not much you can do here, besides letting things run their courses. Stay calm; don't get greedy; lightly flip the free cockroaches when you have to, and get back to generating heat when you find the opening. Being good at the game would definitely help.

As mentioned above, the cockroaches involve a crazy amount of RNG: capsized duration; movement direction; the likelihood to trigger the fly-jump. Sometimes you don't get what you need, and that's very much expected.

You will try again. Again and again. Probably a lot.

• Don't forget about Easy mode. The high-walled pan helps a lot, and doesn't invalidate the achievement at all.
  
• Adjust the mouse/thumbstick sensitivity setting. Find the spot that works for you. You hopefully have figured it out at this point, but it's still important to point out.
