TRN - Centaur MK I

The Centaur is a fully autonomous missile defense satellite designed for general-purpose orbital defense and area denial roles. Armed with eight missiles per volley, it delivers high-impact firepower at a measured pace, capable of engaging a broad range of threats including larger vessels and hardened targets.

Unlike rapid-fire interception systems, the Centaur prioritizes strike power and endurance, featuring a lower rate of fire but significantly larger missile payloads. Its internal structure is optimized for expanded missile storage, allowing for prolonged operational cycles without external resupply or maintenance.

The platform is entirely unarmed in terms of point defense, making it vulnerable to close-range or swarm attacks. As such, Centaur satellites are typically deployed as part of layered defense grids, where overlapping fields of fire and dedicated support stations provide comprehensive protection.
