The Fallschirmjager and You - A BFV Guide
By Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf
A simple yet thorough guide on how to cosplay as a member of the German Fallschirmjager (Paratroopers). And, as always, this does not represent my political views in any such manner, and it is merely for educational/recreational purposes.

Background
The Fallschirmjager (Which is essentially German for Paratrooper) were a military organisation of airborne troops that participated in many large-scale operations until Operation Mercury (AKA The Battle of Crete). The aftermath of that operation lead to the Fallschirmjager being grounded and were then on equipped and operated as normal infantry, often defending key objectives or making minor breakthroughs.
The Wardrobe
BFV has 3 full Fallschirmjager outfits (Landser, Panzergrenadier, and Kradschutzen) as well as one additional helmet (In der Luft), along with some bits here and there that loosely relate. Some examples will be presented.
The Armoury
Primary Weapons
The Fallschirmjager had access to equipment typical of Wehrmacht infantry such as the Kar98k, Mp40, Mg34 with drum mags (and Mg42 with belts during the end of the war). They also had limited amounts of the famed FG42, and during the late stage of the war only a few troopers would realistically get to use a STG44.

Secondary Weapons
During airborne operations, every trooper had a sidearm (P38 or occasionally a P08) due to the manner of their infiltration. The troopers would jump out of planes with very little equipment, only being a pistol with a few mags, their uniform, a few grenades, and their static line parachute. Afterwords, they would have to group up and grab their equipment from crates that were dropped at the same time.

Gadgets
The Fallschirmjager in reality had no personal anti-armour weapons, as they were often accompanied by 75mm cannons dropped alongside. Due to this, if one were to be as realistic as possible, the only gadgets available would be grenades, as well as ammo and health pouches.
The Tactics
Prioritizing Fun
Along with using realsitic uniforms and weapons, one could also regularly jump from allied bombers and spawn beacons. This strategy could even give you an excuse for backcapping the entire game!

Prioritizing Realism
If you're some sort of masochist, or perhaps just in need of a challenge, one could be restricted to using their jump gear until calling in and utilizing a supply crate (which would actually give it a use).
