Omega Research Corporation has long had a history of creating weapons for military usage after the cataclysmic dimensional fault was ripped open by the H.E.F.R. The M4E5 is one such weapon designed for that purpose. Not particularly expressly built for fighting against equivalent technology militaries, the M4E5 was designed with patented ORC plasma technology developed on Neter for the sake of pure destructive power; allowing the development of the tank to be funded by the NATO emergency “Siege tank” contract. Despite the tank being built purely to contend against giant monsters and otherworldly beings of high class power; this tank can also equally perform well on Neter, albeit at the caveat of being more expensive than any of the other craft present on the land-warfare side of Neter. Due to that, the Corporation facilitates its use on Neter only in emergencies so as to not waste the abundant resources present.

The M4E5 is colloquially named the “Goliath” due to its sheer size and power. Though, the proper title is the M4E5 Siege class Super-heavy tank.
