Tomb Prospector - Animation Overhaul (For Redux)

Tomb Prospector – Animation Overhaul

This mod alters the core animations (walk, idle, combat) and touches up the sprite work for the Bloodborne Class Mod - Tomb Prospector: Redux by Fermint/ShallowIris, making him look a bit...meaner.

Also fixes up that pesky walk animation so the proper leg is moving in front.

Hopefully breathes some more life into one of my favourite Class Mods!




What's Changed
  • Walking Animation Fixed - No more Tomb Prospector lookin like he has to pee.



  • All Combat, Walk, and Idle Animations for both 1H and 2H Modes Altered - Slightly taller and meaner looking.



  • Every other Skill Sprite has been refined or cleaned up - They also all match the new height of the new core sprites.




    Skill Animation/Sprite Changes:


  • New Visceral Attack Sprite
    Visceral sprite is my first jab at making a completely new sprite - hopefully it looks okay!





  • Transform Attack - increased speed slightly to match the impact sound of the sword




  • Thrust - Altered the Skill FX so that its red instead of blue - with a longer sword to match the rest of my new sprites. The blue seemed to wash things out and looked a little blurry.




  • The face in each sprite is slightly closer to being the same - eg. certain sprites that have a very "different" face have been amended... will continue to work on it for more consistency!
    For example:
    The "New" face is simply the face from the Transform Attack (and several other skills)


  • Palettes changed and expanded. Some are darker than I'd like so they will be touched up soon.

  • No gameplay changes — visual overhaul only




Requirements
This mod is built on top of Tomb Prospector: Redux by Fermint, which itself builds on the original Tomb Prospector class mod. I did not wish to make a standalone mod at this time since I want to respect the artists and mod authors of both mods.

To use this mod, you’ll need the following in your mod list, in this order:

IMPORTANT: Place this mod above the other two in your mod list so it takes priority.

Notes
  • Does not affect balance, stats, or skill behavior
  • Future updates may polish FX or add alternate skin variants... depending on my 5-month-old who's currently teething.

And yes, he does! The Fist of Gratia - a slab of rock that you could punch eldtritch horrors with in Bloodborne lol.

I will say it looks a blurry in my sprite…. Which is why I have a texture touch up patch coming :)

I really love this mod. But I found the left hand of the 1H mode is a little bit weird, does he carry a brass knuckles or something?

Enjoy :er_heart: the skill sprites don’t have increased height like the walk/idle/combat animations do yet (like they do for redux reanimated) - minor thing but it takes ages to go through them for all the palettes haha. Will plug through em next time I get a chance

Interesting. Maybe I'll play around with a tuned-down version of the original - if I have time lol don't wanna get ahead of myself. But yeah chances are thats what other folks want too

The OG is pretty powerful. I get why the redux exists, it definitely makes him more balanced, but sadly he feels like every other modded tank class that way so I couldn't stick with it myself.

That would be fantastic honestly! Sorry if my prior message came off as rude btw. Your animation changes really make this character stand out and feel less like a leper reskin.
