The Problem

Trying to launch the game as in causes a Memory Access Violation error, sadness.

The Solution

Launch the game at least once.
Right click the game in Steam > Manage > Browser Local FIles (Go into desktop mode if you are on steam deck.)
In your file browser, backtrack to /steamapps/
Navigate to /compatdata/3257000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/scpcb-mr/Data/
Modify the options.ini as follows:
[Global] Width=1920 Height=1080 Display Mode=1 GFX Driver=1 No Progress Bar=0 [Advanced] Launcher Enabled=1 Play Startup Videos=0 <-- Add this here (except this filler text)
Game should now launch, yippie!

@scp 049 You're friend might need the setup guide that I toss midgets wrote, depending on his setup.

my friend said that when he trys to play the game the launcher the screen turns black but if he clicks launch before the screen turns black the game just freezes and the screen turns black again

also one extra thing is that there is preconfigs folder, containing the optimized dgVoodoo.conf file and a working preconfigured options.ini file for use

@Yird sure you can link the new one to the steam post as the old one has archived and i will no longer be updated, making it outdated in the future but if you look at the old guides README has been replaced with a notice with a link to the new guides repository and below with text linking to the old guide in the archived repository
