Introduction
Welcome to FaeVerse Alchemy! FaeVerse Alchemy is a game that features elements from titles such as Tetris and Bejeweled. In this game, the player is continually given blocks of differing symbols ("Elements") that they must place inside of the playing field. The goal of the game is to get the largest score possible before the pieces are forced outside of the field. This guide will help you to understand the basics of gameplay, as well as offer advice on how to maximize your score.
Items of Note
When playing the game, there are a couple of important things to take note of:

1. The Current Block

This block is the one that is currently being placed by the player. This block appears at the upper-middle of the screen, and will move with the cursor. The block will be either 2, 3 or even 4 pieces of Elements. The player can rotate the block's orientation by right-clicking with their mouse.

2. The Next Block

This is the block that will be given to the player after he places the current block. It is important to look at this in order to devise strategies. This block appears on the right side of the screen.

3. The Progress Meter

This meter represents the highest level of Element that the player has unlocked during this round. Every round will start with only the first two elements, Solar Glass and Vital Leaf, unlocked. Only the unlocked elements will be potentially given to the player blocks. To unlock the next level of Element, simply make a Combo with the current-highest level Element in the meter.

4. Score

This number, located at the top of the playing field, is the indicator for the amount of points the player has scored during the current round. A little ways above it is the "Best Score" number, which displays the player's overall best score across all rounds.

5. Combo Meter

This meter, located on the left side of the screen, is filled with purple liquid depending on how many combos the player has recently performed. Higher levels of the purple stuff will result in a higher score multiplier. (Note: not entirely sure this is what it does)

6. Item Box

These four squares, located in the upper right corner, are where any items that the player has crafted reside. Items can be used during a round to a wide variety of effects.
Playing the Game
In order to actually score points, the player must make "Combos" with the Elements given to him. A Combo is formed when three or more symbols of the same Element form a group that shares sides. When the Combo is formed, all members of the Combo will disappear; this leaves a single new Element its stead. The new Element will be one tier above the Elements used in the Combo (check the Progress Meter for a reference). The location of this new Element will always be in the spot of the bottommost Element of the group; although if there are more than one Combo Elements that share this height, the exact location will be up to the game's discretion.

As a result, achieving a Combo will always result in Elements removing themselves from the field. In addition, any empty spaces that result from the Combo will cause all Elements above them to drop down. The game will then check to see if any new Combos have been formed by this action, and will proceed accordingly. From this it is possible to clear the entire field with a single well-placed block!

The round is over when any Element remains above the bar line after its placement.
Tips and Advice
+ A round will not count as over as long as the Element is below the bar line when the Next Block is given to the player. This means that as long as the player can make a Combo that moves the Element out of the way, it is possible to place the block above the line and keep playing. Use this to squeeze a few more turns out of the round!

+ Try to only place Elements of a lower tier above other Elements. The primary cause of Element buildup is low-tier Elements getting buried far below other higher-tier Elements, putting them out of reach. By keeping the lower-tiers up top, it is possible to affect the ones below through Combos.
