Five Second Rule Continued

Description
All credit to the original author, the late Uuuggg
The mod 'Five Second Rule' continued for 1.6. Made originally by the late Uuugggg. I mostly updated this locally for myself, before hearing the sad news about Uuugggg. For now, I decided to upload this continuation in case more people would like to have it for 1.6 as well.

In case the family etc reaches out and ask me to take it down I will.

This is just a rebuild for 1.6 - no additional changes
It works for me in my modlist of some 200 active mods. I hope it will for you as well. I don't intend to spend any real time with this mod for now, but if nobody else make a new version and there is glaring issues, I will perhaps look into it. Otherwise I will just keep it online for now.

Again, all credit to Uuuggg, and thank you for the brilliant work on some really standout mods over the years.

Original mod

Original description

Deteriorated food/items that don't become worse with low HP also don't sell for less.

Now, this is crudely done by setting their HP to full if placed safely: under an indoor roof or on a shelf.

But their HP literally affects nothing other than market value. Why would traders get a discount on a low HP thing that works just the same at max HP?

Okay, maybe if a fire breaks out, not as many items will be destroyed. That is a case I'm not worried about. Maybe it's a feature.

---

RimFactory (and perhaps other mods with storage buildings) compatible, items put in storage reset to max HP.

a link to the original mod and giving a description of what the mod actually does would help a lot

The family posted permission to Uuugggg's steam profile, you just need to include a suitable licence such as MIT with his name.

Why do you worry that Uuugggg's estate would ask you to take his Mods down? When I saw the announcement of his death, his estate (IIRC his mother posted it) wanted his work to be spread and even left links to some of his other projects.

It makes your corn harvest extra crunchy by adding roof shingling material to it… duh /s

It could benefit people who aren't familiar with the mod if you included a description of what Uuugggg 's original mod did.

Could you describe what the mod does or put the original mod's description in?
