Space Incident Endings Guide [Translation from Chinese]
By Mtext
This is simply a direct translation of the excellent guide by Freja to whom all gratitude should be given. :)
This is a very old game not even listed on the store anymore, nevertheless I offer this translation for those who come after.

Introduction
The game's storyline unfolds through dialogues, which are divided into two types: basic plot conversations and heart-to-heart discussions. Some dialogue choices affect a character’s sanity value (san). When a character’s sanity falls to a critical point, you’ll get two opportunities to have heart-to-heart talks. Choosing the right options during these helps restore sanity. To unlock different endings, you must obtain crucial information during the second heart-to-heart.

The numbers mentioned below refer to dialogue option numbers. In cases where there’s only one choice despite being numbered, the guide still includes the number to avoid confusion.
Key Ending Factors Simplified
If you’re not keen on reading a lengthy walkthrough, focus on these outcome triggers instead:

Event
How It Happens
Dunmer dies
Use his method and send him to operate the laser
Jackie dies
Send him outside to repair the engine; trigger Bill to start it right after
Shuttle preserved
In Bill's second heart-to-heart, learn the correct 20s cycle and select it during setup
All three survive
In Jackie’s second heart-to-heart, discover extra oxygen supplies onboard
Note
The shuttle only supports oxygen for two people unless extra is found

Important Gameplay Tips
After completing any ending, you must go to the menu and select RESET PROGRESS to begin a new playthrough.

Regardless of the ending, you must use Jackie’s method to repel the aliens. Crucial: Before sacrificing Jackie, make sure to ask about his plan—if not, the game may soft-lock and you’ll have to reset. 😅
Some additional (original) notes not in the Chinese guide
Starting the engine and getting shot by the aliens will remove about 1/4 of the full sanity bar for any character. The sanity level should be at about 1/8 to trigger a heart-to-heart conversation. If it goes much lower than that, the conversation will be skipped and the character will go directly to panic mode, running around the ship wrecking electronics and starting fires. Each act of mischief restores a bit of their sanity until they get to about 50% again, then they will stop and join the crew's efforts to clean up the mess they just made.

The main challenge of the game is managing the crew's terror levels (sanity) precisely enough to trigger two heart-to-hearts with both/either Bill and/or Jackie, without triggering a time-wasting panic-mode that takes time to clean up and also resets the sanity bar to ~50% (likely requiring at least 2 more engine-shots to reach the correct range again).

You can restart the engines and get them shot again as many times as you need to until you have all the extra knowledge you need for your chosen ending(s), but once you fire back at the aliens using Jackie's method there will be no further chances to affect crew sanity enough to change the available endings. You will still get the options to use or not use the knowledge you gained though.

The game is quite buggy, so be extremely careful whenever anyone is outside the ship not to go back to the main menu or otherwise confuse things, or reloading the game may consider the person to be lost even if they're still onscreen. If Bill gets lost outside, the game is soft-locked and must be restarted.

You can get the Do Not Panic ending/achievement even on a mission where some part of the crew dies, (SPECULATION) as long as it isn't an ending where the whole crew suffocates (since they seem to spend their dying moments in panicky running around the ship), This was tested and confirmed with an ending where only Dunmer dies, since he dies very quickly and neatly away from the others, and Do Not Panic was awarded along with that ending. Still unknown whether Jackie's "AAAAAAAAAAAAA" upon being left behind by the rocket counts as panic or not for these purposes.
1 - Plot Dialogue
These early conversations affect only the characters’ sanity values and do not impact the endings.

“None” means the section is pure story progression without any choices.

Character abbreviations: B = Bill, J = Jackie, D = Dunmer

B: 1
B: None
J: 1, 1

D: 2, 4

At this point, Bill is ready with the laser and asks whether he or Jackie should repair the spaceship engine.

Choosing incorrectly from this point may damage the engine again or even cause character deaths. These decisions lower sanity and can be used to trigger alternate endings.

Some dialogue choices repeat—like each time you need to fix the engine, you can have the same conversation with Bill and then Jackie, with the same possible changes to each one's sanity. Also, after Jackie or Dunmer dies, Bill’s dialogues can change sanity levels and affect the “Do Not Panic” ending. Those parts are covered later.
2 - Character Heart-to-Heart Conversations
This part includes correct dialogue choices that increase sanity (san) values, but there are exceptions. For example, during Dunmer’s first heart-to-heart conversation, choosing either option 1 or 2 will decrease sanity by 2 points. You can also loop the end of Bill's second heart-to-heart as long as you want, easily getting him to 100% sanity before letting him go.

Note: Parentheses indicate which ending elements can be obtained from the conversation.

Bill-1:1-2-1-1-2-2-2

Bill-2:1-1-2-1-1-1-1-2-2 — (Learn the correct time cycle)

Jackie-1:2-1-2-3-3-1

Jackie-2:1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-1-1 — (Learn that there is extra oxygen supply on the shuttle)

Dunmer-1:2-1-1-2-1-1

Dunmer-2:1-1-1
Ending: No Trace
Fly to Earth, but lose the shuttle and the entire team died

Key points:
  • Use Jackie's method to escape from the aliens (this is a necessary condition for clearing the game, and will not be listed in other endings)
  • Choose a U-turn time period other than 20s (lost shuttle)
  • Note that if anyone dies during the journey for any other reason, even if you do not have the info about extra oxygen on the shuttle, the remaining oxygen will be enough for two people to breathe all the way back to Earth, and at least one person will survive to the end, thus causing another ending instead.

Endings: Himself to blame & Goodbye Dunmer
Fly to the Earth, but lose the shuttle and Dunmer.

Key points:
  • Take Dunmer's approach and send him to operate the laser (Dunmer dies)
  • Choose a time period other than 20s (lost shuttle)

Fly to Earth, save the shuttle, but Dunmer died.

Key points:
  • Take Dunmer's approach and send him to operate the laser (Dunmer dies)
  • Get information from Bill about the correct U-turn time value.
  • Choose a U-turn time period of 20s (save the shuttle)
Endings: Hard move & Goodbye Jackie
Fly to Earth, but lose the shuttle and Jackie

Key points:
  • Send Jackie out to repair the engine and kill him (Jackie dies, Bill and Dunmer survive)
  • Choose a U-turn time period other than 20s (lost shuttle)

The shuttle was saved, but Jackie died.

Key points:
  • Get information from Bill about the correct U-turn time value, then send Jackie out to repair the engine and start it before he returns (Jackie dies, Bill and Dunmer survive)
  • Choose a U-turn time period of 20s (save the shuttle)
Endings: Almost defeat & Last live
Fly to the Earth but lose the shuttle, Dunmer and Jackie. Only Bill survives.

Key points
  • Take Dunmer's approach and send him to operate the laser (Dunmer dies)
  • Send Jackie out to repair the engine, then start the engine immediately after the repair is completed but before he gets back inside (Jackie dies, Bill survives)
  • Choose a U-turn time period other than 20s (lost shuttle)

Fly to Earth, save the shuttle, but Dunmer and Jackie are lost. Only Bill survives.

Key points
  • Take Dunmer's approach and send him to operate the laser (Dunmer dies)
  • Get information from Bill about the correct U-turn time value, then send Jackie out to repair the engine and start it before he returns (Jackie dies, Bill survives)
  • Choose a U-turn time period of 20s (save the shuttle)
Ending: Suffocation
Fly to Earth and save the shuttle, but lose the whole team.

Key points:
  • Get information from Bill about the correct U-turn time value, then use Jackie's method to escape from the aliens.
  • Choose a U-turn time period of 20s (save the shuttle)
  • Also, please note that no one should die in the middle, otherwise it will cause a different ending.
Ending: Do not panic
Beat the game never allowing a team member to panic.

Key points
  • Starting the engine and then getting shot by the alien beam will drop everyone's sanity by about 1/4 of the full bar, and heart-to-heart conversations are triggered around 1/8th of a bar.
  • You have a limited number of failed engine-starts in order to get this achievement, because after using your second heart-to-heart with a character, the only thing that will raise their sanity back from near 0 is to panic for awhile.
  • You may not want to choose all of the biggest sanity-boosting options during the first heart-to-heart, as that just means that more stress will be needed in order to get them back down low enough to have their crucial second conversation. However, not boosting them by enough means they will immediately have a panic attack instead.
  • You can save a few sanity points by always having Jackie do the engine repairs (be VERY careful not to start the engine before he gets back inside, unless you're trying to!), and by agreeing with both Dunmer's and Jackie's laser suggestions no matter which one you actually intend to use.
  • It is possible for sanity to drop all the way to panic-level without getting the chance to have a heart-to-heart to raise it first. If this happens, you will need to restart the story and try again to get this.
  • At least Dunmer can die by attempting to fire the laser and this achievement will still unlock.
  • As yet untested whether leaving Jackie behind or the group-suffocation after returning to earth will still allow it. (Leave a comment if you tried!)
Endings: All are alive! & Complete victory
Fly to Earth and save the whole team, but lose the shuttle.

Key points:
  • Learn about the extra oxygen supply from Jackie before fighting off the aliens (all members survive)
  • Choose a U-turn time period other than 20s (lost shuttle)

Fly to Earth saving the whole team as well as the shuttle.

Key points:
  • Repeatedly start the engines and let the aliens shoot them again until you've had two heart-to-heart conversations with both Bill and Jackie. (Dunmer's conversations reveal no important information, but they can still help prevent him from panicking if also trying for Do Not Panic.)
  • When Jackie alerts you to the oxygen situation, tell him to gather the extra oxygen (everyone survives)
  • Select a U-turn time period of 20s (to save the shuttle)

Enjoy the complete lack of any explanation or ending! 😅
