Introduction
I found both the default controls and the preset controls from the unofficial patch are outdated by today’s standards in Thief 2: The Metal Age. So I have decided to share the modern control scheme I have created and personally use.
Keys
Run = w
Walk Slowly = w+shift
Walk Very Slowly = left ctrl+shift
Move Backward = s
Move Left = a
Move Right = d
Lean Forward = w+left alt
Lean Left = q
Lean Right = e
Crouch = c
Jump = space
Attack = mouse 1
Use Item = mouse 2
Block = left ctrl
Drop Item = r
Next Item = mouse wheel up
Previous Item = mouse wheel down
Remove Item = mouse 3
Next Weapon = tab
Remove Weapon = "
Flare = f
Zoom In = numlock +
Zoom Out = numlock -
View Map = m
View Objectives = o
Quick Save = mouse 4
Quick Load = mouse 5
