In this guide I'm going to show you how to install the C&C generals zero hour mod manager and also how to install mods easily with them.
How to:
First make sure you run the game once.
Now go to this website and download the latest version of the mod manager:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/genlauncher/downloads
Make sure to click the proper download link, best to use an ad blocker as the website is notorious for being filled with ads all over the website.
When you click download now, a mirror will pop-up and after a couple seconds will download the file, if it doesn't auto download, click ''download GenLauncher1009.zip'' (name depends on the version you try to download)

Now we have to unzip the file to our desktop.
For extracting you can use winrar or 7zip, but most PC/Laptops come with one build in.
Once done you will have a program called GenLauncher, we now have to place it into our C&C directory.
You can do this by right clicking on the game in your Steam library and browse local files, then drag and drop GenLauncher into the root folder.
Now run it.
For first time use, make sure you update it in the bottom right.
Now the Launcher is ready.
How to install mods:
Simply click on ''add mod!'' and a list of supported mods will pop-up.
Click on a mod you want and click ''Add!''
For the guide I choose ''Cold war Crisis'', it will now show up in the list and you will have to click install.
It will download and install the mod for you.
When done, go to options and change any setting you want, then launch the game.
The mod that is highlighted in color, just click on a different mod if you want to switch between mods and re-click the active mod to disable it to play the standard base game.
First time playing a mod it will ask to apply the default recommended settings, click apply.

You are now Ready to go!
