This guide is gonna show you how to mod Team Fortress 2
Step 1: Making a custom folder
We need to go to the Team Fortress install folder.
You can do this by right clicking on the game in your Steam library and browse local files.
Then click into the folder ''tf'' and make a new folder named ''custom''
The file structure should look like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom

Into this file we are gonna install our mods.
Step 2: where to get mods
Go to: https://gamebanana.com/games/297
On the top you can search for certain mod and on the right you can click on different categories.
When you find a mod, click it and scroll to download.
Step 3: installing skins
In the ''custom'' folder add a new folder named ''my_skin''
When you download any skin mod you add the folders from that mod in here.
Folders can be but not limited to:
materials
models
scripts
sound
weapons
Step 4: HUD
In the ''custom'' folder, make a folder named HUD.
When you have downloaded a hud mod, unzip the file, open it up and move all the contents to the hud folder.
Step 5: Files ending in VPK
Any files that end in .VPK need to be put directly in the ''custom'' folder.
