Introduction
There are a total of 8 Lords you can choose from in Stronghold Crusader:DE.
In the player settings, you can select from the following Lords:

Crusader Lord
Crusader Lady

Arab Lord
Arab Lady

Bedouin Lord
Bedouin Lady

The Scribe
Lord Bessy

Choosing a Lord not only changes their appearance but also determines their starting units. These Lords are divided into three groups based on their unit types:

European Units
  • Crusader Lord
  • Crusader Lady
  • The Scribe
  • Lord Bessy

Arabian Units
  • Arab Lord
  • Arab Lady

Bedouin Units
  • Bedouin Lord
  • Bedouin Lady


The number of starting units varies depending on the game mode (Normal/Deathmatch or Crusader) and the advantage level selected.

Conclusion
Now that you know what starting units each Lord provides, you can make a better decision about which one suits your playstyle.

Personally, I prefer the Arabian units. Arabian Archers outperform regular Archers, and Spearmen just aren't worth it in my opinion.

My second recommendation would be the Bedouin units, especially in Crusader matches. Skirmishers feel like an overpowered version of Spearmen, and Heavy Camels are basically stationary Horse Archers, which I find really useful.

Of course, these are just my personal preferences. Try things out yourself and see what works best for you.

Knights are basically indispensable if you can have them early. Especially with healers being a thing now.

That said, I'd almost always go for the arab lords. Not much early attack value, but the defence value of arab archers is worth alot and slaves can dig moats to keep those other early knights/skirms away.

I was just yesterday wondering if the scribe or bessy would have different units, and how many would the bedouin lord have. Now I just find this guide, pretty concise and helpful! Thanks for your work ♥
