Tip: For One Station Connected to All Lines Achievements (Tokyo, Melbourne, Stockholm, Shanghai)
This strategy is for those all lines one

try to use as few lines as possible

but when connect the spare line, you can connect as a series, with the intended destination as the first stop. then when train starts moving, instantly remove the line.

London
Oyster
Deliver 200 passengers in London.
Transport 200 passengers.

Earl Grey
Deliver 1000 passengers in London.
Transport 1000 passengers.

Thames Tunnel
Deliver 1000 passengers in London using no more than one tunnel.
The strategy here is to make the single tunnel route as short as possible. Since the top portion of the map has all of the different shapes, the only goal of the bottom portion is to move all those shapes that don't exist there.

For the top portion of the map, I decided to make a big loop utilizing as many trains (and carriages) as possible. For support, I also utilized a single route to constantly shift shapes so that no station was overflowing.

Paris
Navigo
Deliver 200 passengers in Paris.
Transport 200 passengers.

Baguette Tradition
Deliver 1000 passengers in Paris.
Transport 1000 passengers.

City of Lines
Deliver 1300 passengers in Paris using no more than three lines.
The idea here is to use a maximum of three lines. In order to achieve this, you would create one big loop that goes to all stations whenever possible. Try your best to alternate shapes too.

However, routes have a maximum limit of four locomotives per line. This meant my single loop was struggling to keep up with the sheer number of stations. To combat this, I decided to create a second loop, following the same strategy as my first loop.

Lastly, I kept the last line as backup to use specifically to combat overcrowding at specific stations. Doing so helped to keep the metro system running longer without overcrowding.

New York City
MetroCard
Deliver 200 passengers in New York.
Transport 200 passengers.

Mustard and Sauerkraut
Deliver 1000 passengers in New York City.
Transport 1000 passengers.

Square Times
Deliver 1600 passengers in New York City with square stations on no more than two lines.
The strategy here is to use one line for that connects stations in a loop and also utilizes square stations. This tended to be the middle island, which was nice since it had a large influx of passengers but meant I did not have to have too many stations in that route.

The other lines would be connecting all the other stations except for the square stations. These routes tended to cause certain choke points due to not having square stations and thus requiring a transfer. However, since the route with square stations was relatively small, having many trains in that route helped immensely get rid of the abundance of passengers.

The idea here is to keep one spare line that could connect to square stations whenever necessary. This helped to ease overcrowding at stations and meant I did not have to redo my network too often.

Warsaw
WKM
Deliver 300 passengers in Warsaw.
Transport 300 passengers.

Warsaw Tourist
Deliver 1600 passengers in Warsaw using no more than one loop.
Start off by creating one big loop. Since it's going to be the only loop allowed, try your best to use as many resources as possible to keep this line alive. This means using extra locomotives, and especially extra carriages. This line should ultimately serve all stations.

Next, try to help alleviate some of the strain on this single loop. Using the other lines, create short lines that connect the popular shapes. This strategy would also be beneficial for shapes that are far away from each other due to the original loop, but are only a relatively short distance when cutting through the map.

Lastly, use spare routes in order to help with the overcrowding at stations. Doing so will help prolong the integrity of the network and help the metro last longer.

Lisbon
Navegante
Deliver 400 passengers in Lisbon.
Transport 400 passengers.

Lisbon Tourist
Deliver 1400 passengers in Lisbon using no more than four lines.

However, routes have a maximum limit of four locomotives per line. This meant my single loop was struggling to keep up with the sheer number of stations. To combat this, I decided to create a second loop, following the same strategy as my first loop.

Tokyo
Pasmo
Deliver 500 passengers in Tokyo.
Transport 500 passengers.

Tokyo Tourist
Deliver 1200 passengers in Tokyo with at least one station connected to all lines.
The idea is that you all lines need to have at least one common station. This is better achieved by having fewer lines, since it both reduces complexity and trying to find a common station across all lines.

However, my strategy here is to still use spare lines to my advantage to help limit overcrowding. This did mean that I needed to find a station that is connected by all other lines, but there is one loophole, connecting stations in series.

Chicago
Ventra
Deliver 500 passengers in Chicago.
Transport 500 passengers.

106 miles
Deliver 1400 passengers in Chicago with no more than eight stations per line.
The strategy here is to utilize as many lines as possible. This tends to result in many small loops which limits the number of different shapes each line serves. However, this was necessary to reduce the route length of lines.

Remember that you'll also need to account for lines connecting to other lines. For this approach, I'd recommend having a central terminus where multiples lines connect to each other. This will help reduce the number of common stations each line serves and be better able more stations.

Lastly, I always keep one spare line to help ease overcrowding. This helps preserve the longetiviely of the network, but tends to be time-consuming requiring constant modification to the network.

Budapest
Elektra
Deliver 400 passengers in Budapest.
Transport 400 passengers.

From Buda to Pest and back again
Deliver 1200 passengers in Budapest using no more than two tunnels.
As usual, I created one large loop that utilizes both tunnels. I used as many locomitves and carriages as I had in order to try and serve all stations. However, I would need to shift strategies as more stations got added and a single large loop was not enough.

Therefore I decided to separate the loops. I created two distinct loops on both sides of the river, and used a single route to connect both loops together. That was because I had a plan for the second tunnel.

i utilized the other tunnel for the spare line. doing so was beneficial since there was no square shapes on the left of the board, so having a quick way to transfer them to the right side was good. there was also other instances where transferring shapes across the tunnels helped.

Berlin
Monatskarten
Deliver 200 passengers in Berlin.
Transport 200 passengers.

The Grey Lokomotive
Deliver 1000 passengers in Berlin using no more than one locomotive per line.
Since you're heavily limited by the number of locomotives per line, the other strategy is to use as many different lines as possible to help alleviate the overcrowding at stations.

The idea here is to always select new lines whenever possible and try to limit the number of stations each line serves. Be extra diligent about trying to give each line a variety of different shapes to help reduce the number of transfers required. Be extra mindful of the number of tunnels you have because it was a limiting factor for me.

Lastly, keep a line as a spare to help ease overcrowding whenever necessary. In addition, make sure you have at least one tunnel available just in case that station is on an island. Doing so will help make your network more nimble and smaller, being better able to serve more stations without congestion.

Melbourne
myki
Deliver 300 passengers in Melbourne.
Transport 300 passengers.

Hook Turn
Deliver 1000 passengers in Melbourne with at least one station connected to all lines.

Hong Kong
Octapus
Deliver 200 passengers in Hong Kong.
Transport 200 passengers.

Hong Kong Eights
Deliver 1100 passengers in Hong Kong with no more than eight stations per line.
