Sadly Uuugggg has passed away, I'm going to continue this mod (and some/all of his others) in order to preserve his legacy and impact on RimWorld.

Original Description
Colonists grab meals from animals, or each other, if needed - if there is nothing else available.

Note that 1.3 did add "Food from animals" But not "Food from that hoarder Jim who's holding all the caravan's food for some reason"

Doesn't need new save, doesn't affect saves

Shouldn't conflict with Smarter Food Selection.

fwiw, the "pawns go after raw food from a tamer" issue was going on for a very long time in the prior version of the mod, too. iirc it seemed to ignore pawn preferences or something

@bukan fake doctor If you have another source of food, they should go there first. Grabbing food from other people is a low priority thing

I have ascetic pawn who loves raw food, and other pawn who haul many raw food for training animals. This ascetic pawn always chase the trainer for food which significantly increase his traveling time. What can I do to disable taking raw food from other pawn?

Thank god I somehow I got reminded of this mod, such a weird decision that in vanilla pawns don't grab meals from shuttles by default

Oh thank you I have been so annoyed with shuffling the shuttle inventory. Uuugggg knew what was up. Thanks for carrying the torch.

When ugg made this caravans were new. Ludeon frequently merges in fixes and ideas from the modding community but tend to not keep notes as to why those mods existed.
The shuttles are cool but the issue of unloading items is back with them without this. Items being on 1 pawn is also a bit of QoL issue.
Depending on when you played the game some things have vastly changed, like leather being categories now which is also a mod-merged idea. Many of the legacy mods don't change their descriptions out of respect for the creator but this is confusing for newer people getting into mods.

@sharkcrisp049 Just went to add support for vehicles, assuming it wasn't working. Turns out it does work ^.^ The vehicle framework treats vehicles like people, so it works perfectly fine

@qux If you check the Original Description, it does mention about them being able to take from animals. This mod now just affects pawns and shuttles, with vehicle support coming soon
