Old Ruby's Pond
This fishing spot is available from the very beginning of the game and is located right next to your home, making it the most convenient place to fish early on.

Old Stone Bridge Pool
This fishing spot is accessible from the very start of the game, immediately after Old Noakes gives you your beginner fishing rod early in the "Finding Your Feet" quest . It sits directly along the path east of the village square, close to Old Noakes’ hut—so you’ll pass it frequently while traveling around Bywater.

Old Stone Tower
A scenic fishing spot nestled beside the ruins of an ancient tower.

Unlike some of the more accessible locations, Old Stone Tower is locked at the start. To unlock it, you need to reach Friendship Level 3 with Orlo. Once you've built up enough trust with him, the path to the tower will open, granting you access to this picturesque fishing area.

Cotton Farm Pond
A calm, easily accessible fishing spot on the southern edge of the map.

This location is available from the very beginning of the game, requiring no quests or friendship levels to unlock . Situated near the Cotton Farm, it’s straightforward to find—just pin it on your map and follow the route marker to get there.

Tree Root Pool
A quiet fishing spot nestled deep within the southeastern forest.

This fishing location is available from the very beginning of the game and requires no quests or friendship levels to access. It's slightly hidden, located past a small wooden bridge and a winding forest path, but once discovered, you can pin it on your map and follow the route marker for easy navigation.

Ladle's Jetty
A fishing spot located just beside Nefi’s Forge.

Unlike some of the other fishing locations, Ladle’s Jetty is not available at the start of the game. To unlock it, you’ll need to reach Friendship Level 3 with Nefi. Once your bond is strong enough, the gate leading to the dock will open, granting you access to this scenic spot that offers a diverse range of fish.

Gaining Nefi’s trust isn’t too difficult—invite her to a few planned meals and engage in friendly conversations, and you’ll unlock the jetty in no time. Due to its central location near the forge and village hub, this is a spot you’ll pass by often, so unlocking it early can be very convenient.

Noakes' Jetty
A peaceful dock tucked away near Old Noakes’ home.

This fishing spot becomes available only after you’ve built a strong relationship with Old Noakes. To unlock it, you need to reach Friendship Level 10 with him — the highest required for any fishing location. Once you reach that level, the gate to the jetty will open, granting you access to a tranquil spot ideal for catching a wide variety of fish.

Although it takes time and effort to unlock, it’s well worth it. Spend time talking to Old Noakes, complete requests, and invite him to planned meals to steadily increase your bond. This jetty is located in a quiet part of Bywater, and while it’s a bit more out of the way than others, it offers a satisfying reward for your dedication.
