Introduction
You can steamroll every boss at +5 in about 10 seconds


While Ice Shards in and of itself is a very strong skill, you can utilize the massive amount of shards even further to trigger Shadow Dagger(s) from rogues Preperation aura.
It's not totally clear what tags Shadow Dagger has, but it deals poison damage and checking the other rogue skills it is also a spell.
Be aware that the tooltip neither reflects your critical hit damage nor the Shadow Dagger(s). I'm not even starting to talk about ailments here.

So the goal is to get massive amounts of critical chance to trigger Shadow Dagger(s) as well. You can easily scale the raw damage for both skills by going for critical chance, critical damage, (generic) increased damage, spell damage and cast speed.
It's certainly great to have extra cold damage though.

Start out with Storm at Divinity 6 and move on to complete Rogue. Mark for Death asap. Skill Blink as soon as you also have Storm at divinity 18.
Attributes
Every point in Knowledge is increasing our Resolve (Cold Damage) and our Cunning (Poison Damage) by 3 points. Vigor is increasing them by only 2 points, but it also adds some health.

I would advise for a 2:1 distribution in favor of Knowledge. The slight damage loss is currently a non-issue, so adding some health is rather nice.
You can now take nearly every boss attack and leech the damage back up incredibly fast.

Homing 1, Torrent 1, Chaos 3, Projectile Penetration 1, Infused Shard 4

The one and only damage skill you will need for clearing and bossing.
18 shards with sufficient homing, scaling damage with reserved energy.
Shards even home back to a single target, but one point seems to be the sweet spot.

Storm Nimbus 7
Storm Enhancement 5

Permanent +60% Cold Damage. It also reserves 90 energy now boosting Ice Shard damage thanks to the Infused Shard modifier.

Blink 1
Thunderstorm 1

I use it for some map mobility and currently mostly to jump to the Memory Knot and instantly back into the arena. Thunderstorm doesn't matter, it's just a free one point modifer.

Mark the boss. Do 10% more damage as vitality damage and take 10% less damage. Also life leech for the vitality damage dealt, so you can facetank everything that doesn't instantly kill you.
This is crazy value for one point and it opens up the passive Dismantling Tactics for boss farming.

Preperation 7
Shadow Dagger 5

Another avenue for some "free" extra damage. All you gotta do is invest in critical chance, easy peasy. It also adds Plagued stacks to the mix. Just remember: 18 Shards that rebounce once with 20 crit chance with Ice Shards amass to about 5 procs per cast. All those combined hits also seem to mini-stagger bosses when they are simply moving.
With some more levels later on, you can also put points into Enhanced Critical Hits. It reserves 115 energy (or more) and thus further enhances the Ice Shards damage via Infused Shard substantially.

It's your map mobility skill. During bossing it adds a crazy amount of added Critical Hit Chance and Critical Damage Multiplier with some added Cast Speed. The 10 seconds are also more or less sufficient for killing a boss.

Generic increased damage and an absurd amount of increased Critical Hit Chance.
More consistent crits for less critical damage is worth it in this build.

More generic increased damage, cast speed and critical hit chance.

Shadow Arts 12
Critical Hit Chance, Cast Speed

Increased spell damage, critical hit chance and cast speed. The usual suspects.

not sure why you picked a rogue, you will likely just use ice shard exclusively.........there won't be any melee of any kind...not from my experiences in this game, melee seems to be subpar compared to ranged casting....but that is just from my sole experience.

Very powerful build... used this for my 2nd play through and everything melted before I did... zero deaths unlike my 1st play through.
